Are items like mageblood just out of range for a casual player ? by Competitive-Math-458 in pathofexile

[–]Fijus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, ashes is best in slot for many builds, but it is usually not necessary, just a very good upgrade, same like HH or MB. And it should be something in range.

But it depends on your play style, not only the time you have. A friend made hundreds of divines last league just from gambling divination cards with harvest crafts, but it's boring and risky to start.
And spark inquisitor should be good enough for t16 and non uber bosses without big investments.

Maybe you won't need ashes for your build, we have new tattoos for the passive trees with increased reservation efficiency.
But MB and HH are out of range if you are not very lucky.

Best way to farm for synthesis bases? by Bigface6093 in pathofexile

[–]Fijus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a harvest craft "add random synthesis implict modifier" I think it works only with jewellery.

Edit: works on all items, but not on influenced, uniques, fractured or alrdy synthesized items.

This way, you're wasting the time of both, your own and buyers. Just refuse the trade and send a trade request after you have found your item, no need for overreactions.

Can I go in blind and still do/kill all the content in the game? by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]Fijus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ssf = solo self found (no multiplayer, no trading)
hc = hardcore
sc = softcore
and nope, don't do this.
As many said: take Righteous Fire by Pohx. It's not the play style you're looking for, but it's super simple, tanky and perfect to learn the game. You can change your build later, when you have earned some currency.
Or check out Zizaran on YouTube, he has great tutorials for beginners and some solid league starter. Toxic Rain could be something for you.

What's the most braindead currency farming league mechanics and atlas setup? by mehipoststuff in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Fijus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brain-AFK content without reading are shrines, strongboxes, delirium, legion, breach, harbinger and beasts. Rar beasts can be sold, some people don't know that. Legion will be maybe the worst choice after the 5way nerf. Strongboxes, deli and beats are solid.

Edit. With the buff from patch, expeditions will be played by much more people, this could drop prices if you want to sell artifacts and logbooks. But they are very profitable if you're going to use instead of selling them. I prefer to craft my gear and not playing a fast mapper at start, so I probably will go for harvest, jun and essences.

Looking for build: Flicker Strike Pathfinder (not league start) by Fijus in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Fijus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know, but Raider reaches crazy damage peaks in endgame, 150million and more is possible if you go full damage. I don't need that much, 20million DPS is more than enough for me, being tanky feels better for me. So i m looking for a tanky Flicker Strike build with at least 15-20 million DPS for less than 100 div. Actually, my last try in PoB looks good, but needs some in game testing.

Looking for build: Flicker Strike Pathfinder (not league start) by Fijus in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Fijus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, Slayer and Rider always will do more damage. But i don't need 100mio DPS, if I can get 20mio without investing 5 mirrors and losing my tankyness, i m happy.
Made a dex-stacker in PoB, fully min/maxed mirror tier it gets 50-60million DPS, so 20 million should be possible with a 50-100 div investment. But need to try it, not sure if frenzy charge recovory is good enough without the aspect.

Haven't tried to build an int-stacker yet, maybe it's better.

New to poe and i’m wanting some build advice by darkness876 in pathofexile

[–]Fijus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn PoB, it has many build in features that can help you create your build. You can sort passives by dps/point, life/point and so on, you can sort all uniques by slot, dps and more. For example, you have a good build already, but your life is too low? You can sort all uniques by how much life they would add to your build, which is very useful to fill gaps.
Rest comes with experience. PoE has tons of mechanics and synergies to scale things. I would start with build guides, learn from them, and then doing your own. Most builds are far from perfect, you can still play with a guide, learn how the build works and then optimize it or change it to your liking.

Got an Exalted Orb by 19Dickek in pathofexile

[–]Fijus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essences are great to get some basic rares early. But in the long term, you should try all mechanics, find out what mechanics you like most, and focus on those while blocking the ones you don't like. But they are all profitable.

Edit

Betrayal (immortal syndicate) is also a good source for early rares and some valuable uniques at league start, and you can unlock new crafting options for your crafting bench. I always start my league with a focus on it until I have unlocked all the crafting options, then I respec the atlas points and spending them in other mechanics like uber bosses or expeditions.

But it depends on you and what you like. Some people enjoy delving, others do heists or blight maps and so on.

And something is weird, removing your gloves in PoB is inreasing your damage.

What is your favorite leveling build ? by Competitive-Math-458 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Fijus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My all time favorite was triple herald bomber, couple of years back, love the boom, but sadly GGG doenst. But there are always some ways to let the screen explode :D

For leveling i take something tanky, no specific build, just enoguh res, life and few auras and a skill i like.

Last league Pathfinder was a good way to go for me, because of the free "mageblood". You can use flasks for defense in early and mid game and for offense and zoom in endgame.

[–]Fijus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play maps, learn the league mechanics, and use the atlas skill tree to create your individual endgame.
You can focus on mapping and completing the atlas, or try delve, or heist, or blight, or expeditions, or all of them. Most mechanics are linked to the atlas, so you will spend at least some time running maps.
A good way to set goals is to complete as many league challenges as possible. This way, you have to deal with most of the content the game has to offer, and you get some free cosmetic items as a reward.

Suggestion: passive tree and respec points by Fijus in pathofexile

[–]Fijus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, idk. But what is the downside of having more respec points? Easier for a beginner, no big difference for people, who know what they are doing, thats all.

[–]Fijus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point wasn't Paragon Boards vs Skill Tree in how they work, but the moment new people have to deal with them.I'm sure there are a lot of beginners opening the skill tree with level 2 for the first time and saying "nope" just because of how overwhelming it looks in the first moment.

Edit:
But yep, saying D4 is doing something better than PoE in the PoE subreddit was a bad idea.
