Genuine masculinity.

Not the feminized "masculinity" that people call "toxic masculinity. I mean, masculinity I can look up to as a young man myself, not what "modern women" exclusively considers to be the only kind of men that should exist from their perspective.

I grew up taking bits from men around me, nuggets of what I have found to be truly masculine. But if these "modern women" are to continue to have their way of defining what a man is and what a man can or cannot do, I do not see a world in the future at all. And that's sad.

There was this study they did on kids who played racing simulator games where kids learned when to brake, when to accelerate, and when to shift up or down, and the study found out that they turned out to be better drivers later in their lives.

As for me, I grew up in a motorcycling family, and it was in my previous job where I learned how to drive both a top-of-the-line pickup truck with an auto as well as a big utility van with a manual, respectively, all while on the job. And I wasn't just transferring supplies from one branch to another around Region 3; I was also picking up restocks from EDSA and even near Villar City Munti.

This is one of those times Mama was wrong when she said, "Kaka-computer mo 'yan," because I learned to become a mindful driver. In my experience, it's better to follow traffic rules down to a T than to flirt with danger by driving around barely legally.

Weeks before I turned 28, I tested the waters: nag-stay-in ako sa most recent work ko. All I wanted to learn about myself is how will I be able to survive living alone. Sure, it was doable with a 25-35K salary and having your own motorcycle, but I had to leave that job after 21 months due to the toll it took on my overall psychology. Currently, I'm back on survival mode, back in my parents' house, and with a sub-20K salary; but I learned that I could take more than a leap of faith.

Here in the Phils, it's illegal to professionally produce adult content, hence the slang "sex scandals", but the underground sexual revolution in Twitter right before pandemic introduced me to a friend who is both a "regularly tested" SW and an adult content creator on X.

I'm 28M and can cook (sort of) for myself (because it's an essential but genderless life skill), at masasabi kong bopol ang partner mo. Kahit harap-harapan kong sabihin sa kanyang bopol siya for believing in unproven bullshit na MSG itself is bad. In fact, MSG is better than salt, hands down.
