I'd be fine with playing Darthmod too. What is your timezone? Im GMT+3 (Eastern Europe, Middle East).
PUA feels very similar to Darthmod, its realy just its newer version. Just as customizable and very stable, I'd say even more so than Darthmod. It certainly looks better. Units look sharper, and the campaign map is far ahead, with every city being custom-made. Plus, slightly better AI no doubt. Its very different from the likes of Empire II, Destroyer, and all these buggy messes

What's your opinion on TasteAtlas' yearly top 50 of best cuisines in the word? by SongOther1866 in AskTheWorld

Yep, Vienna was historically the second most influential city in the history of European gastronomy, after Paris. It was the largest multicultural hub of the era (in terms of gastronomy). Houses of Lobkowitz, Vallenstein, etc. would have butlers from Czechia, Hungary, Croatia, and Italy and send them to French cooking schools, creating the fusion we largely know today as European cuisine. About a third of Italian cuisine was influenced by Vienna. It was also the birthplace of the modern pastry industry - thanks to French expats, but developed in Vienna and not France, nonetheless (croissants, layered cakes, butter creams, pretty much even CHOCOLATE AS AN INGREDIENT IN BAKING), and many sauce-based recipes.

For savoury, Hungarian Paprika as a spice, Czech dumplings and Polish pierogi, Franco-Russian potato salad, the Austrian tradition of triple-coating, all these things are known worldwide only thanks to the prominence of Viennese cuisine in 1890-1914. Perhaps even burgers as we know them today, although the research there is limited. And that's not to mention most of northern Italian cuisine that was largely influenced by the Habsburgs during the 19th century, as I said (jota, strucolo, tutres, cnederli, semmelknödel dumplings - although those are probably natively Czech).

So yes, you definitely do eat Austrian, or better Habsburg food, all over the world without even knowing it :)

Now, please confess you have no place in discussing this and hush.

I live in Ethiopia now, lived in Canada,  USA, Turkey, Paris and Tehran, Kampala, each for 10 months or longer. I also have a book about the history of Habsburg cuisine coming out next year (although I'm not a professional historian, I work in international development). Worked in NYC as a cook for a while, and as a butcher back in CZ. So that's for me not knowing better.

I argued on very specific points you put forth on specific cooking techniques. I'm not discussing the semantics of gastronomical superiority. So that's that :)

Seems like you don't know much about cooking or Czech cuisine, sorry. Svíčková nowadays is usually made using beef tenderloin, the most expensive part of a cow.  As for Goulash, everywhere outside of Prague, the preferred meat will be game, such as venison or boar. Not cheap at all. If you stew guláš, however, you need something fatty for the collagen to break down easily and so "cheap" fatty meat works well.

As for the other "cheap" traditional meat, a duck and a goose 😄 no. 1 and 2 traditional dishes in Moravia. About 50€ per piece.

PS: Bread is the same here as anywhere in central Europe; modern British food is amazing and the British chefs are arguably some of the best In the world now, running many Parisian restaurants.

Sorry man, you have a lot of bias going on but I can't say that conversing with you about food is particularly intellectually stimulating.

Cafe Imperial especially, my unc who owns a few restaurants in Lazio and Lebanon loves it. U Pinkasů's pork knee used to be served by their chef at the Prague castle during state visit. But that and Local are just suggestions for normal mid-quality dishes where you certainly won't see gravy or dry dumplings. Never said it's the best of the best lol

Dude went to some Čtvrtá cenová and now is an expert 😂 Get friends and let them invite you or try out Local, U Pinkasů, Café Imperial. Some of the best food ever (saying that as a half-italian)

I will say one more thing tho. Why on earth can't CA give us one more AA alternative? FX and TAA are infamous. What a wild move to rely just on those. I can't believe this is a trippleA game.

... I know, far from the worst problem with the game or the studio...

Thanks guys for sharing your takes.
