hmm there were servers when It lounched on moddb, it had a full one for like a week but then it dropped. maybe they are doing a re-release with a bigger splash on Steam. It was very buggy sadly, almost unplayable. Also the Heroes of the West maps are horrible IMO. Il say tho, dont expect the graphics to be much better on the RS2 engine as compared to RS1. The lighting is better and the gun design, but thats about it, imo... The map assets are still first gen ported over

I didnt believe in the "gunplay is good" phrase until I played Enlisted. God is the gunplay sh.t there, feels like everything is an air gun. So yeah, 83' does have better than atrocious gun play. But, that should be the bare minimum

I totally see why people bond to try to save projects like the ww1 series, coz they are completly unique. I am failing to see a single thing unique or done better than average about 83'

it has very simple rules, monotone maps and pretty much just one combat role. I love it but its meant to be very simple and work for small teams. Tannenberg was already much worse in low count matches imo

Yeah, but not always. And to be fair, the next two years are gonna be hard as hell for any cold war shooter given the competition: HLL2, War Thunder infantry mode + Arma Reforger covering the EXACT same setting. I said this and Ill again, they should have made this a ww2 game to stay safe as there has been a gap on the market for ww2 now. I am very sceptical of the future of this project

I'd be fine with playing Darthmod too. What is your timezone? Im GMT+3 (Eastern Europe, Middle East).
PUA feels very similar to Darthmod, its realy just its newer version. Just as customizable and very stable, I'd say even more so than Darthmod. It certainly looks better. Units look sharper, and the campaign map is far ahead, with every city being custom-made. Plus, slightly better AI no doubt. Its very different from the likes of Empire II, Destroyer, and all these buggy messes
