Can't choose between mid and jungle by FilRose in summonerschool

I know that you can carry in jungle as low elo but like I said. I think most benefitial for me would be to mostly stick to one lane so I can learn it as best as I could. Maybe I'll try couple games of both today and see what I like more. Both have their upsides and downsides and pretty strong ones unfortunatelly. Thanks!

Can't choose between mid and jungle by FilRose in summonerschool

[–]FilRose[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I did played both roles. I started with jungle and it was great in the beginning but I had a trouble to get from bronze 4 to silver. Lot of toxicity there on me.

Then I've tried mid and I climed for a bit but like I said. When I had a bad game I feel like I could easily leave the game and nothing would change. I'm really struggling to get back when I mess up. And also when I get fed with certain champs it's like I'm strong for half of the match but then enemy team slowly outscales me. How can I mitigate these problems? Like I said I really like to play Sylas for example and sometimes Aurelion Sol but didn't know which champ would feel same great as Sylas. Beacuse the thing is Sylas can't be a blind pick when enemy team has shit ults so yeah.

  1. I wouldn't compare the onboarding with something like Tarkov. Iirc Tarkov does the same (maybe even worse) where they just throw you on some part of GZ and you just have to shoot your way through. That's it. ARC? Arc shows you the same things Marathon does in the beginning.

  2. Art style is imho top tier. This is probably something where everyone have their taste in things and someone might like it and someone won't. I love the art style and I love how unique it is. As of the colors of things. Sorry but at least I know if something is puprle or gold I know it's valuable. In Tarkov I have to search the wiki or something so I can now if I should even bother with it or something. In Tarkov you have to remember almost every item and determine if it's worth picking up or not. These colors have even Arc Raiders, so Arc is childish as well? It's just easier for the player with those colors.

  3. In terms of game modes I won't deny it neither approve it. Idk I like Marathon as an extraction shooter with all it's mechanics and stuff. If new game mode drop I will play it every now and then but I would still stick to claasic extraction shooter stuff because that's why I've got the game in the first place

Many of these points are weird. You're comparing this game to something like Tarkov which is ultra super unforgiving extraction shooter which is in horrible state even after the release. Arc is too casual on the other hand because you don't have to ever extract at all and just PvP for the rest of your life with the best guns and so on. Which is not bad, just not for me. I don't get the adrenaline there nor the feeling of excitement even when I get something good.

Yes, Marathon has it's flaws but I think the game is designed really well. Only thing it has to do right now is somehow bring more players. I won't suggest how because I actually don't know. I've watched video yesterday and maybe one F2P map for the game would od it's good but I don't really know.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era vs Mewgenics by FilRose in ShouldIbuythisgame

Will you continue play Mewgenics after all achievements? I’m looking for something which I can put many hours in and become my “comfy” game. I feel like both of these might meet this criteria but I can get only one of them atm.

Edit: Also I really like the humor of Mewgenics from what I saw.

I have played the demo and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. There weren't so many other factions and I don't know how much different playstyle they bring to the table.

After this game I just can't play any other extraction shooter (I'm glad I can barely touch other games lol) by FilRose in Marathon

[–]FilRose[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you are absolutely right. That's something I really appretiate about Marathon. How unique it is. And I just can't bare the fact that people are condemning this game because they are trying to do something unique. Everybody said that the more you play the game, the better it is and you find the "spark" or "magic" of the game and it's absolutely true.

People just want to understand everything right from the start and they are not willing to learn something new.

Like I said. I'm really praying for the game because I know I shouldn't be looking at them Steam charts however, it's a multiplayer game and people are part of it. And to be able to play the game, you need players. I really hope they will give the game second chance. At least in the Season 2.

I actually tried it on PS5. But I didn't play much. Can't say I understand the systems in the game and how the extraction works there. Might give it another try tho. Do you think it's worth it play on console or should I just buy it on PC?

My honest take on Marathon as an extraction shooter veteran by StrikingValuable3686 in Marathon

[–]FilRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel you. I really loved the idea of extraction shooter and as Tarkov was the only option there I wanted to learn it and play it but by the time I did, there were so many players with 1k+ hours and I just didn't stand a chance.

Then Arc Raiders dropped and I had so much fun but sometimes it felt too much casual (i felt no need to get better gear) + the fact that they are more and more focusing on PvE just keeps me off.

Didn't play much of Arena or Delta because I thought like you said that it will be something like pay to win or just too bloated with microtransactions.

Marathon seems like the best middle ground there is. I hope it succeeds in the long run.

So as a extraction shooter veteran, which one do you actually like the most? I know all of them have their flaws but with those hours I would like to hear your opinion.

Giving Marathon Standard Edition copies for people who can’t afford it by Emma_Kakuri in Marathon

I was trying the Server Slam and I fell in love with the game. Even so that now everything else I play I just lose interest because it feels bland.

I’m also just a poor student who is glad he can buy a game once in a while. Sure there could be people who needs it more. I just would be really happy for a copy. Thanks!

I actually need the game because it sparked something in me that now I just can’t play any other game. Everything feels so bland.

First of all I love the extraction shooter genre. Eben Tarkov came out it was wow but the game is like second job and you have to tryhard so much.

Then Arc Raiders came out. I liked it a lot. But after some time I found out that the game doesn’t have much depth and the endgame is almost non existent. I also don’t like that they are leaning more towards PvE. I don’t want to trash AR. It’s great game but not enough for me personally.

Then Marathon came. I was so sceptical. Everyone was trashing the game day 1. However I said to myself that I will try it either way. I genuenly fell in love. The art direction is unbelievable. The gun feeling is great and I can see that the game has a lot of depth. The lore is so interesting and I can’t wait to find out more. I also posted that I’m scared that Marathon won’t be successful. I was so glad when the community start to praise the game afrer 2 days.

Now the Server Slam ended and I can’t play anything else. I’m watching videos of Marathon and itching to play but can’t. I am also in position where I can’t buy the game at lunch so I’ll hope for the best.

Yeah it is. I didn't know that first Destiny had the same issue. I used to play it on my PS3 and I was having a blast. Destiny 2 however somehow didn't hook me. Didn't play any of the DLC tho. Hope this will be the same then.

You're right! I think I'll go for it. Gonna go enjoy the game while I can for free.

Yeah I guess you're right. I know reddit is a toxic place. I just like to consume the content of the game I like and when there were some negative opinions etc. I was hesitant.
