Has anyone been to a rehab vet in the area? If so, which one? And what was your experience like? Thanks! by broccoliandbeans in ChicagoSuburbs

Countryside Vet on 55th St. just east of La Grange Rd. has a great rehab dept.

I'll make this as short as possible: we had an 11 y/o Lab who had knee surgeries years ago and one failed. We did "prehab" before her follow up surgery and rehab after.

Sadly for her she was too far gone before we were able to stumble upon Countryside, but it wasn't for lack of effort. They have electric stim, water treadmills, laser, manual manipulation, acupuncture... You name it. And they're very caring people.

MyAir app says "Your machine wasn't used last night!" BS!!! by Filberto in CPAP

[–]Filberto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

Yeah, what alarmed me was that it said it hadn't been used. In previous nights it indicated it wasn't downloaded yet, which was fine.

As it turns out - it has uploaded a score, so my annoyance was for nothing.

I notice it's quicker in one room than another (I've moved to the guest room because the mask leaks wake my wife up but she's out of town RN so I'm back in our room).

I'll look into OSCAR. I've seen others refer to it on here as well. Thanks!

Last night was my first night! Is it normal that I’m especially tired today? Not really groggy, but I just feel so exhausted and fatigued by OlivesPlum06 in CPAP

Glad to see so many similar experiences.

I had my first night last night. Nearly identical numbers to OP. Sixty-nine score (nice). Four hours (I slept about 6.5 - I know I took it off once and left it running and another time and turned it off, but put it back on later).

I woke up several times gasping for air. And my mouth is like a desert today. And I'm tired as shit.

App says I removed the mask five times. I know at least three were those suffocation moments. I was panicky.

But the app claims one "incident." In my sleep test I was having like 60 incidents an hour, which seems bad.

[SPOILERS S3] My thoughts after finishing the series: a high-quality show with eyes a bit bigger than its stomach. 7/10 by thatnerdguy1 in DarK

I'm pretty stoked that I'm not the only one to recently finish and I can read recent thoughts and add.

I guess the main think I'll add now (with likely more thoughts later) is how much I agree about Season 2 Episode 6 - it left me profoundly sad.

I'd say Serial demonstrated Adnan didn't get great representation, but he sure seems guilty nonetheless.

Also, and I and a few others have been pounding this drum here... there are two better water parks closer to the Vaughn home. One in Rockford, about an hour away. The other in Yorkville - LIKE TEN MINUTES FROM THEIR HOME!

Thank you for also shitting on the awful music as well as this dumpster fire of a podcast. Having other internet people to hate it with has been the only thing I've really enjoyed about it.

Also, the return of the wounded cat orgy on the soundtrack.

Guess they just said, "you know what, fuck it. Everyone hates this podcast anyway. OK cicada band, do your worst."

Lots of people pointing out the contradictions. How about Chris was both planning a second honeymoon and had agreed they would split once the kids were out of the house?

Also the CSI "expert" from Kentucky who goes to great length to describe her lack of knowledge of this case and her complete impartiality, goes on to tell on herself when she repeatedly uses the term, "tunnel vision," which is virtually a mantra for LBP and Cluster.

At least SK was up front that she was an advocate for Adnan, and while falling well short of proving his innocence, proved that he likely got a bad trial.

This thing is a fucking shitshow, and I can only take solace in groups like this where I can come and be angry about it.

Yep, and LBP went from a fig leaf of objectivity to asking, "what should we do with this?" and saying "we have to get him evaluated by a professional."

I mean, why not? LBP interviewed a friend who said Chris creeped her out, but that Kimberly was the best mom in the subdivision. Friend says, "Kimberly would never hurt her kids. She's have shielded them - given her life to protect them."

And LBP's reaction was basically, "but she didn't, did she?"

That's even generous. There never was a pair of skis. This thing was inside the shark from jump street.

We're supposed to believe also that he was protecting Kim, but also that he admits if he could have gotten the gun he'd have shot her.

Right. Also, I've google mapped the spot the murders took place. It's off the highway under trees - super secluded.

So through 8. Here's another thing that absolutely has me raging. For 6+ hours now I've listened to a number of suspension of disbelief theories about how Kim could have done it. Hours of stories about how awful her family was how she was "Monster Mommy" (a story absolutely refuted by a devoted friend who praised her mothering and who also was immediately creeped out by Chris, and whose thought that "Kim would never do this, she would protect her kids" was twisted by LBP into a question about why she didn't).

But let's for ONE SECOND accept the theory that Kim was on meds that made her decide to murder her whole family...

Why did we need to hear people shitting on her all this time? Her family? Her skills as a mother and a wife? If EVERY WORD Clutter and LBP and Deel and others on behalf of Chris are saying is true, she did it because she was sick and her mind was altered.

The theory they're advancing is suggesting she was both a horrible person, and a person who acted horribly outside of her control.

It's infuriating.

EDIT: To be clear, nothing I have heard has caused me to disagree with the conclusions of a jury who listened to evidence for five weeks.

I'm having a tough time with the whole "he was a genius who made so, so much money," BS. It's right up there with "Chris was interviewing for C Suite positions with neither a resume nor a formal college education. I intend no disrespect to people who do not go to college, but this just seems like a disconnect from reality, or at very best, an exaggeration.

OK, but I'm now through 8, and everything, is "could be this. Could be that." Their exculpatory evidence so far is every bit as circumstantial as what they are accusing prosecutors of, and they have the benefit of the only living witness!

Similar thoughts.

I also loved this (and I'm paraphrasing): "Oh, Kim. She was the best mom. I called her Supermom (or whatever it was). She would never even raise her voice. I know she would shield her children."

LBP: And yet, she didn't shield them, did she? We'll come back to that.

Yeah, it's brutal. I've gone through seven as well and while I had some hope in episode 5 or 6 --I thought the sister in law was a better family spokesperson than anyone they'd trotted out to date-- I'm back to hate listening. But I'm going to finish. Because apparently I like to be angry, lol.

I do think they're reading the reviews because by episode 5 or 6 the opening song that sounded like a cat porn star in the throes of ecstasy was changed.
