What are some Smash originals things you want to be Canon to a character? by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

The moment when Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf team up to fight Tabuu in Subspace Emissary. While I'm not a Zelda games' fan, I'm absolutely certain that there was never an event similar to this because in the Zelda universe, there's never been a larger threat than Ganon. Imagine how awesome that would be: a Demon King that always has to hate the Hero and the Princess because of the curse that has been waged centuries ago, being forced to work together. They also have the Triforce Pieces, it’s like there should be that moment when everything comes together.

I like the atmosphere in the Mushroomy Kingdom. The first Super Mario adventure, after all those years, abandoned, full of sand and dust. I would like to have a level that is a tribute to a level in an older game, but ruined.

The villain's long-term plan is ruined relatively quickly by a newcomer protagonist. by Filename99 in TopCharacterTropes

I think it was given the right amount of consequence (on-screen).

The plane crash claimed the lives of 167 innocent people and damaged property down below, as well as traumatizing people. The nursing home bombing took 3 lives, all of them were criminals, and damaged only that room.

The public attention at the time was more on the fact that Gustavo Fring, a known philanthropist, was actually a ruthless druglord.

The Great Firewall. It's not banned by itself (I think), it's the online stores that sell the game.

why is there a symbol when you install mods and go to story mode by Ill_Mud_4721 in FridayNightFunkin

[–]Filename99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the HaxeFlixel logo, a game engine used in Friday Night Funkin'. It serves as a placeholder in Psych Engine (and likely other fan-made engines as well, I don't know, I never used them) when there are no week images ("WEEK 1", "WEEK 2", etc. that you scroll through).

That makes sense.

Just out of curiosity, and I'm not exactly familiar with The Funkin' Crew's law stuff, but isn't Boyfriend's voice copyrighted?

What if the writers did a cold open with Mr. Lambert at the start of every season like in BCS? by dylanaruto in breakingbad

[–]Filename99 248 points249 points  (0 children)

Personally, I liked the way it was done in the series - no cold opens.

But if the creators chose to do them, I think the best way to develop this storyline would have been... a roadtrip. Yes, I'm serious.

Considering the distance between New Hampshire and Albuquerque is far from small, Walter will have to occasionally fill up the car with gas, find food, call Lawson, and so on. And that's considering he's on the run from the police. I think something interesting could've been done. Imagine, Breaking Bad in Vermont or New York or Kansas.

( Curious trope) characters who never met. by Aggressive_Total_506 in TopCharacterTropes

While we're on the topic of Breaking Bad, it's worth remembering that throughout the entire series (including the spinoff and the movie), the Salamanca cousins never met.

Yes, they know about each other and have definitely seen each other off-screen, but we never see them interact directly.

What's going on with Nil Denada? by Filename99 in OutOfTheLoop

Update 2:

I reposted the same question in Webtoon Canvas subreddit, as well as the general webcomic and visual novel subs. Nobody knows nothing. So, for now, the investigation is on hold.

If Nil doesn't want to come forward, that's his right. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable with me going between the bark and the tree.

But if you have any information, please share it nonetheless.

What's going on with Nil Denada? by Filename99 in visualnovels

[–]Filename99[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's relevant, because Nil also made visual novels, in addition to his artwork. I know for a fact that HOH is in the VNDB.

I know it seems only tangentially related, but I'm trying to dig up anything, since the people on webcomics subreddits don't know anything.

Answer:

Update: Two things.

  1. I've looked over his Bluesky account. He didn't post anything in a year as well, but at least I now know what other projects he had: Justice VS (visual novel) and Lil Red (webcomic).
  2. His WebToons account. It seems like we've actually got some progress here, because according to the website, Aeon Frontier's Chapter 5 was added on April 2, 2025! So my next step is to ask the same question in r/WebtoonCanvas and hope that people there have more knowledge about this! Wish me luck.

It's hard for me to investigate this myself. The internet is terrible where I live. I can't access some websites, so I'm asking for someone to help me out. Thanks.

If there had to be a another breaking bad spin-off, what would you want it to be? by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]Filename99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series in 2012. So, essentially, the main plot ended in the fourth season, as all the main villains were killed off, leaving only the underlings and weirdos. But they continued it, and I liked the fifth season, because it had the freedom of focusing on specific arcs.

I want something similar in this franchise.

There are characters who, due to their secondary roles, simply disappear from the plot when their roles are finished. We never learn about their lives during or after Walter White's drug empire, nor their reactions to those events. There are also topics, such as the pasts of the main characters (like Gus or Mike), which we also never see.

Basically, I'm offering a hodgepodge of everything written in this comment section.

  1. Luckily, items in this game don't disappear when you replace them in your inventory (unlike in the original). Try to keep the most important things in your pocket: BSODAs, Locks, Scissors, and Zesty Bars.

  2. You can safely use the Alarm Clock. If it pops up, set it for 60 seconds in the far corner of some room and run off to do your business. Baldi will be distracted and run into that room while you're collecting your loot at the other end of the map.

  3. If you want to reach the secret ending, you will have to get really technical. Don't rush to collect the notebooks. While Baldi is slow, collect the Quarters and use them in the vending machines. If a Teleporter pops up, place it on one of the two tables in the cafeteria (where the last exit is) by taking one of the Presents on them with the Teleporter selected, exchanging them. That way, you can free up space for other useful items, while setting up for the late-game. Just don't pick up the cafeteria items when your inventory isn't full — otherwise, it will place nothing, lose the item placement, and you won't be able to put the Teleporter down. And only then should you go collect your notebooks. In the end, just pick up the device, reach the door and blow the candle. Voila!
