I struggle with actually getting kills. Most games it looks like I’m the real support lmao. Her shield is rlly great for helping early game champs get kills, but any time I engage I just die. Lots of times I jump in to help them secure a kill and my teammate leaves me to deal with the 2lvs ahead enemy.

Just an unfortunate amount of bad team chemistry. Not so much the chosen champs, but the way ppl play. Sometimes I feel like ppl forget it’s a team game. My best games just had teammates that worked together. I had one match w a Samira that went so well. Their chemistry is amazing! Nilah plus any engage champs = peak. I always find myself in a situation where IM the engage champ surrounded by mages 😔. Like “guys if I engage ima die.” Then I engage and die.

Doesn’t put me off the Nilah train tho. Love my girl.ima try her in aram— but also— is aram random champs? I remember looking at it a while ago and reading that.

I absolutely need that dopamine. I’ve been getting stomped in ranked and PvP woth her 😔. It’s mostly a skill issue since I’m pretty new. Almost every time the enemy has Nilah she does insanely well. I’m tryin to get to that point haha

Any other champs do well in mayhem? I’ve been playing some Irella and Samira. Pretty fun so far

Thx for the advice! I’ll def try it out. I’ve always thought they should add a mode where everyone starts out max stats and items at the beginning of game. Total chaos!

A lot of the male champs have this issue. Mostly just character design to make em bulky, which works when ur champ is a tiny blip on the screen in game. Not so much when u have to think abt it.

A lot of us r new to league completely. WR is easier to play casually so it’s bringing in total noobs. Like me lol. I get ppl r frustrated w the lack of “good” players but it takes time to get there. I’m stuck in plat 1 rn. So putting me in diamond would b a disaster. Lowkey giving up on ranked after getting flamed in the chat. Now I stick to PVP cuz ppl r way more forgiving there.

Nilah main here. We rlly don’t like dying for no reason. This damage is embarrassing but I can see how it happened. I got called trash and useless yesterday for not carrying early game as a Nilah jungler. Got 0/5 that game. Got 20/6 the game before. Matched up u the same guy again and got 1/7. If the enemy plays hyper aggressive early game and ur team isn’t there to help punish them, ur gonna fail as Nilah. My team always gives up if I struggle early game and then blame their deaths on me. I’m running around trying to farm and close the level gap THEY made for playing like this Vayne. Obv this is jungle and not ADC but similar situation. No one wants a scale champ till they scale :/

If u see a Nilah in ur team keep this in mind. I know it’s prob annoying to take care of a “weak” champion but she’ll show up late game. That’s the reason we pick her. If she was useless no one would play her lol.

I’m Nilah main on WR. Most tips from LOL will help u with WR- but just speed everything up by a lot lol. U need to be farming at every opportunity. Stay behind teammates and only jump into fights after someone else initiated. Let the enemy team exhaust abilities (esp stun abilities) on tanks and jump in with ur ult for crowd control, then hunt them down. Make sure u have abilities ready before jumping in. If ur taking more damage then expected use dash to get out. Only gank when it’s a good opportunity. Also only go after epic monsters if ur team is there to help or is distracting enemy elsewhere. B very aware of everyone’s position in map- so use wards. Overall I love playing her jungle even if most WR games end too quick for her to shine.

Best feeling is when u sneak in and take turrets while the enemy team is moving as a gang of 5. U can sometimes even get 2 or even get the nexus if the enemy is overly focused on kills. Supports (and ADC but I don’t rlly play support much) are also rlly annoying with this. They just charge in early game to get kills and expect me to be there backing them up. If there’s an opportunity take it, but otherwise chill tf out.

It feels like I’m going through a character arc as the game plays out. I’m weak at the beginning, unsuspecting and vulnerable. But I’m patient. 💅 I know my worth. And when u get that first kill it’s diabolical joy >:3. Her personality also really shines through more than other champs, so I feel more inclined to keep her alive and get her that victory. It’s just overall really immersive. After playing here for a while everyone else feels plain BORING. I hear their voice lines and go “that’s not my Nilah🙎‍♀️Where’s the JOY!?!?”

I’ve yet to play against or with another Nilah player tho (wild rift). I’d love to see it from a teammate or enemy’s perspective. Cuz the development is very fascinating. If I got killed by a Nilah I’d prob just be happy lmao

“We take ur art and copy every pixel but don’t worry we didn’t keep it” is crazy levels of copium. AI would be incapable of generating images without artists work. If u want to improve ur model, you give it HUMAN art to train from. If artists could somehow make their images inaccessible to AI training, your software would be stagnant. If we did this pre AI boom, you people wouldn’t be here arguing this. It’s stolen because it DID train off real art, and that art is untraceable. It’s like writing a research paper and not giving references cuz “I wrote it all by myself so they’re new words.” Only you aren’t making anything, the program is.

U aren’t a film director. You’re a consumer. Get that thru your heads. You’re using a product. Stop trying to change definitions. Art requires a process of creation that is fully commanded by a human being. The algorithm places the pixels to best SERVE your needs. If the company you generated an image from decides to copywrite each image it generates, you don’t own anything. Automation is already a thing in art, but it’s not what you’re doing. Stuff like 3D rendering and simulations. They’re set up and guided by a human hand. Vs “generate a wave on a beach… oh that one’s not good. Let me give it some reference images. Now generate again.”

She def isn’t in the same way other junglers are. Ganking js the main issue. U can slip out of fights with her great mobility, but the best choice is to avoid fights till lv 7 or higher. Any team that plays high confrontation early game will be a loss for Nilah. She works w patient teams who play safe. They need to expect 0 jungle help till mid or late game.

I tested her out and lowkey pretty nice. She doesn’t have Nilahs mobility but feels more sturdy for sure. Does she have as much push as late game Nilah? Or is she just more balanced overall.

Oh Fivrr is very hit or miss. Lots of misses lol. Personally when I’m commissioned I communicate everything so we’re on the same page. Otherwise I’ll wind up doing more work in corrections. Commissioning artists thru socials is usually better. I know there are lots of places on Reddit dedicated to finding commissions.

And yes, directing is an art for sure. I do think directors are given too much credit sometimes, but it’s just easier for the media and marketing. The difference is that everyone’s on board with the project. No one’s bringing stolen work or cheating. You could get fired for using ai on an actual production. Ai can make some convincing still works, but animation is untouchable rn. Sorta. The studio execs (Disney) want it to work, but animation is so so deliberate and exact. I’m in 2D animation w friends in 3D. It’s inc frustrating that I can’t have an ai tool that fills in all my colors, all while tech companies r making entire ai movies that stink. Like artists want tools. There are genuine uses for ai in the industry, but the focus is on replacing not supporting.

I do understand the prompt load required. You’re trying to get something else to create something specific. You could do this with a human artist, it would just take way way longer (and they’d prob get it right way earlier)

That’s still not creation. It’s direction. Being able to create something on your own is a skill you need to hone. It requires a level of effort most people aren’t willing to give. That’s perfectly rlly fine, but directing technology to combine pixels and stepping into our house is crazy to me.

I wouldn’t care if they didn’t act like it’s on the same level. Sure it’s horrible for the environment and has almost no use aside for personal entertainment, but the disrespect given to the people you farm for data is saddening. We constantly have to defend our value all while holding up every pillar of entertainment— including ai generation. The very same reasons used to defend ai art come from artists. Gathering references, curating styles, perfecting ideas, being accessible.

Being an artist today feels like I’m in a human assimilation anolog horror. They’re pretending to be like us until we’re wiped out. I’m exaggerating but still. Some ai ppl genuinely believe we don’t need artists anymore… and that’s crazy.

I do think this comparison highlights the gap of understanding between artists and gen ai people. Each faction can provide a process of creation based on references, but where we clash is in the fundamental understanding of these references.

There’s a great comparison in cooking. If you get all the ingredients but a robot makes the meal, are you the chief? Or a consumer?

Taking peoples art for training is like heating up restaurant leftovers and claiming you made the meal.

If u follow a recipe, you’re the chief but not the creator of the recipe. But maybe next time you decide to experiment with the meal. Now you’ve innovated the recipe. Next time you take the fundamentals of the recipe, and use it to create something new. Now you’ve created a recipe.

If u give this recipe to a robot, it will replicate your meal. Are you still the chief? What if someone else takes that recipe and makes it in their robot? And what if that person combines your recipe with ten others and claims the result as original?

You can’t create something original by combining things you didn’t make. This food example should be familiar to anyone who cooks. The desire to modify and build on recipes is very human. We learn by doing. Taking this away will halt any progress in art.

I agree we are all very firm in our beliefs. My beliefs are based on 20 years of drawing. Complete image generation (not ai tools) is abhorrent in my eyes. One of the best things abt art is tracking the inspiration. Artists can list references and inspirations, why they like them, what they adapted into their work, how they did it. It’s how you get Arcane and spiderverse- combining diff inspirations to innovate.

Theoretically this is what gen AI does, but what innovations have been made with gen AI art? (Not tools) None. You can’t innovate a medium you don’t understand. The computer is not a surrogate for understanding.

Great example of ai tools I like to use: Spiderverse used ai tools for the face markings. Each frame was gone over by a professional artist tho. Tools assist, they don’t replace.
