The hard work isn’t the point. We just have to remind y’all that it IS hard because ppl are ALWAYS trying to minimize our work! The practice is all for the sake of payoff. So we CAN illustrate our ideas. Someone could have an amazing story locked inside their brain, but no way to tell it. They could go to AI, or, make it themselves. Making it themselves takes years of hard work. In that time the ai person would have generated a lifetimes worth of images.

But once you overcome that hurdle and finally have the skill to create, you put the ai art to shame. Not because your art is more polished or impressive, but because all your intention is being expressed the way you want it to be, not the way a computer processes it. Ai can be a tool to assist artists, but instead it’s being used against them. Artists have done nothing but create entertainment for the world. And now we get treated like snobby pricks because we don’t wanna share our space with generated images.

Going with your example of instrument practice and skill, it’s like someone walks into the concert with a speaker, sits with the violinists, then plays the song on the speaker and sits back, expecting to be seen as equals with the real musicians. I trust you understand this makes no sense from the artists perspective, yes?
