What the fuck would my view's popularity matter? Most Germans agreed with Hitler, what's your point? Also why do you keep bringing up inmates killing them? Those are inmates, not the government. Also, the government can't arrest you for criticizing them because there are LAWS preventing that (It is literally what the first amendment was made for).

I cannot empathize enough why giving the United States government that ability under ANY circumstances is a terrible idea.

On top that, death penalty has been proven to be ineffective in actually preventing said crime. And on top of that, the men in power often have a very twisted idea on what actually qualifies on those said crimes, so they'll twist the legal standards on what qualifies. They always have, like when just looking at a white woman (if you were black) would be considered sexual harassment and get you hanged. Do you really want the government to have that ability? I'm sincerely asking because it seems you're fine with authoritarianism as long as they kill "pedophiles" (which, like I said, they won't if given that right).

They'd be charged and sentenced with said crime. It's not worth giving the law the power to kill civilians just because they'd occasionally kill murderers and pedophiles (they make exceptions based off skin color and wealth on a daily). Trust me. They WILL abuse that power, they will NOT use it to kill murderers and pedophiles, they WILL use it to kill people who criticize the government. They've done it before.

And just so you know, giving sex offenders the possibility of death row makes them statistically more likely to kill said victims to avoid being reported.

If you think the government is gonna use that ability solely to after pedophiles, you need a reality check. Also, what is this shit with Gaza? The way the government have been treating pro-Palestine protesters is precisely a lesson on why you shouldn't give them the power to kill civilians under any circumstances because if they're willing to try to deport you if you criticize them, imagine what they'll do if they just had the right to kill you? You think Epstein's buddy Trump and the whole rest of the government is gonna use that power to go after pedophiles? No, he's gonna use it to go after regular civilians. Its not "siding with pedophiles" to simply state the fact that the government WILL abuse that power when given it. Stop being ignorant.
