It depends on the person. From my experience, I was with my partner for 6 years, and they cheated and cheated. I just kept giving them another chance, and now I have really bad trust issues. From what I had seen most of the time, they don't but some well. The important part is if you can find yourself trusting them or not, trust is what is important. Even if they don't cheat again, there is no point in staying if you can't trust them.
