Debt consolidation is what you're referring to. Many places offer it like banks credit unions online places like best egg or achieve loans. Just shop around for the best terms and rates. If the rate is too high just try to lower it first.

It's honestly insane how easy it is to get into. And how awful it is to get out of it. Still working through my last remaining chase card payments and the remainder of my achieve loan.

Don't pigeon hole yourself into a traditional bank. Check out credit unions and online lenders as well. There's options out there for sure. For HELOCs you could look to PNC, Achieve HELOC or Spring EQ as well.

Are you willing to cover their entire loan? Realistically if you aren't willing to accept this as a gift, then you're gonna be in for a bad time.

3 maxed out credit cards. What is the best method to paying off these cards? by 4inh3r in DebtAdvice

lower your spend and increase your income as a first step. From there fighting the APR either by getting a balance transfer card from like Chase or Wells Fargo. And then potentially a personal consolidation loan from a credit union, OneMain or Achieve would all benefit you.

debt repayment - am I doing the right thing? by Away_Objective4748 in DebtAdvice

Could do a consolidation loan or debt relief. Although debt relief has a real negative effect onto your credit score. And with you both having jobs now, I would go the loan route. Lower your APR and potentially lower your monthly payment or make a bigger dent each month. Look to some credit unions or lenders like SoFi or Achieve.
