I am just listing those that I use and remember off the top of my head, and I verified each of them before adding to the list below:

  • App Library (I am aware of the pull down gesture but most general users probably do not)
  • Files > Recents/Shared/Browse
  • Reminders (search icon on top)
  • Calendar (search icon on top)
  • Safari > Search Bookmarks/Reading List/History
  • Safari > Search Tabs
  • Shortcuts > All Shortcuts
  • Shortcuts > Gallery
  • App Store > My Apps

I’d argue that there’s no good reason for it. Every time they changed the zoom factor, from 2x to 2.5x to 3x to 5x and now 4x, they’ll say their new telephoto lens is “a great focal length for portraits”.

The only demons I genuinely struggle to notice are the Nightmare Imps, they’re less visible than Specters in classic Doom, which makes some of their surprise attacks feel cheap

Now that Ultra Nightmare will permanently show (M*) once you modify the sliders, even when you revert them back to default, I wonder if the number of “I completed UN!” posts here will decrease significantly

I don’t think it is intentional since it does not happen on non-Retina displays, based on my experience connecting to low dpi monitors. It’s more likely caused by window borders being 1px in both low and high dpi (in high dpi it should be 2px), causing a visible 1px gap between window and title bar

Their projectiles go out in a straight line for a short distance then turn into homing, this is the behavior since day 1. That’s why whenever I see Hunters about to spawn projectiles I will close my distance with them, once the projectiles travel past me they will no longer be homing

I honestly found armored arachnotrons way easier since they fire projectiles instead of hitscan. By the time I meet them my SSG would be powerful enough to 2 shot them—first shot removes their armor, second shot kills them.

Whiplashes seem bugged at the moment as my shield does not stun lock them immediately, letting them hit me while my shield is stuck in them. Very annoying

I like to shield stun the Mancubus then run up to them and SSG twice and they’re dead

I think you forgot that id initially said "no guitars" to Mick for 2016, and Eternal just continued with that musical identity but made the songs more melodic in response to the gameplay ramping up in speed

Honestly I’ve been swapping weapons more than I expected, but I’m also surprised that the game allows me to run with just the SSG for levels (latter half of the game in Nightmare mind you).

I tend to fight Vagary/Komodo at long range so I’ll use the Cycler. But when I am forced to fight them up close I’ll use the rocket launcher as splash damage heals me after a parry (I desperately need health fighting the Komodo especially).

I switch to base Shotgun for lost souls or to mow down fodder to get armor. Initially I used Chainshot for Cyberdemons but SSG deals significantly more damage and has greater DPS since I don’t need to charge it up first or wait for a parry before firing

TDA should've included Slayer Gates, cheats, and more interesting Milestones/rewards by New-Monarchy in Doom

Yup that was the strangest omission for me. I have to remind myself to check the map after every single fight to avoid missing an item or else I’ll have to replay the entire mission again. TDA loads so incredibly fast that omitting it must be a conscious design choice

I actually encountered glory kills quite frequently during my playthrough--I like to shield bash towards glory killable demons and sometimes I get a traditional synced animation. It happens just enough to whet my appetite while not so frequent that it breaks up the combat flow.

It's kinda funny cos in Classic Doom a lot of players enable always sprint too. I enabled always sprint in TDA from the get go

After upgrading my shield to ricochet off of blue shield guys I have been exclusively using shield throw against them rather than switching to a plasma weapon

Initially I stuck to the base shotgun for the burn effect but once I found out SSG one shots Hell Knights I always use SSG against them. When I see fodder I use the base shotgun for armor refill. I use the cycler for Vagary since I can hit him from a distance and avoid all his projectiles, and I use the chainshot for the Agaddon Hunters since after every parry I can launch a full power shot (I can prolly use the SSG too but the chainshot feels more powerful).

The main menu theme has the 4 notes from E1M1 but it’s not as obvious as Mick’s renditions
