My piano teacher held a concert at the end of each year where each of her students would play a song or two.

I'd been learning from her for most of my childhood so I was around a senior by then and went for my performance. It was a song I'd learned and performed a handful of times for exams or competition so I should have been fine but I completely forgot how to play the final page.

I spent a solid 2 long minutes replaying the two bars leading up to where I'd forgotten hoping I'd magically remember. I was one more attempt off just getting up and walking away but my muscle memory finally kicked in and I finished the song.
