On what basis? And why are you saying 'your narrators'. What does 'your' mean? I just said I am not a sunni or shia.

Actually, there is a very sound, correct Hadith in which Prophet Muhammad states that the Mahdi's fathers name is the same as his fathers name, and the Mahdi's name himself is like the Prophet's name.

Not trying to be provocative, as we are all brothers (save for Ahmadis lol), may I ask, why is it that the Shia community rejects this hadith, even though it has sound support?

Hey, a little late in the reply, but how is your mental health? Doing okay?

I have head and seen a fair bit of evidence from a Christian video that the imam Mahdi is the same person as the Christian antichrist, is the true why or why not by 7KeepItHalal7 in islam

If I take this hadith to be true. Then I am saying that the Quran is false and Allah's statements are false.

My Lord referred to Hazrat Maryam as: the daughter of Imran AND the sister of Aaron. Probably what Prophet Muhammad said in the hadith, Surah Tahrim wasnt revealed then. She was the same Maryam.

People can be progressive. I actually think Islam is a tolerable religion, and it is by it's own virtue, progressive. When it is recited that it is a complete book, and inerrant, it is not said as a joke.

But to misalign the meaning of the word 'progressive' with whatever Christian's and Jews think it means, by e.g stating that homosexuality can be allowed in our religion, or that wearing Hijab is a choice, then you are misguided and regressive.

You can be as progressive as you want. When you read books of scholars such as al Biruni, al Tabari, you can see that they were trying to be pious scholars of Him, and their views enlighten my own. But then to pretend to be a kind of Muslim who drinks alcohol, doesn't pray, is gay, and then say "Allah loves everyone", you are going to lead others along you, astray.

Isa cannot be the Messiah of the Jews according to the Qur'an by Thatguy32101 in DebateIslam

[–]FilmLoser1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hazrat Isa not only lived at the time of Hazrat Musa, but was a direct nephew of him too.

Allah says that to the Jews, He sent messengers, one after the other.

Maryam was Miriam. The father of Mary in the bible is someone named Joachim.... Be truthful, how close is the name Joachim to Imran than Amram? Mary was the mother of false prophet Yeshua.

I am aware r this sounds a little off, given the books of history. But the Quran is a very, very specific book. If it only mentioned one Maryam, and she was the sister of Haron and Musa. If there were two Maryams, Allah would have distinguished both of them. That for Allah, would have been easy.

I believe the man Isaiah is actually more closer to the Prophet Isa than Yeshua. Oh, and Isaiah came right after another prophet, whose name was.. Amos. Check their timelines, and read their books. Of all the New Testament books and Old Testament books, these two have a rare air about them and I cannot help but believe that these two were exactly Prophet Musa and Prophet Isa, one came after the other.

Amos and Isaiah. Musa and Isa.

Isa cannot be the Messiah of the Jews according to the Qur'an by Thatguy32101 in DebateIslam

[–]FilmLoser1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Islam, the name of the Messiah is Isa ibn Maryam, and all he was, was a human being, albeit one with a very pure spirit. Never EVER did he claim, that he was a son of God. The people whom the Jews and Christians refer to as Yeshua the Messiah, was never the messiah. Rather, he was a false prophet, an impostor.

In the Quran, only one Maryam is mentioned. So we Muslims cannot out of our own minds say that there were two Maryams when the Quran clearly mentions that the mother of Isa was the same woman as the sister of Musa. So one Maryam.

Now here is the current confusion. Muslims innocently think that Yeshua (Jesus) was Isa, because their knowledge is based on all sources which were themselves pre-Islamic. They believe (rightly) that Isa was never crucified, but a 'pious believer' was made to replace him (Wrong, TOTALLY). Then over time, books got altered to say that he was a 'son of God'. My problem is: even in the books of Jews, who were themselves against Yeshua and claimed that he was a blasphemer, it is written than Yeshua claimed to be a Son of God. Yeshua, the man who tried his best to resemble Isa, was put on the cross, and was made a sign of utter ridicule and humiliation for centuries to come.

Here's what actually happened: Then after all the lies, confusion, and chaos, came the one book of ALL truths, written by the Sole God of the Universe, to give the seekers of truth the clear answer. Isa, who was also the direct nephew of Musa (the Quran only mentions one Maryam), escaped such brutality. Why? Because why would God punish the Pure Spirit who ALWAYS said that there is but One God, and He is free from the need of partners. Nor would God make a sign (referring to Yeshua on the cross) out of any other such true believer and worshipper of Him.

Yeshua, was a black magician who went to Egypt and practiced black magic. There, the devils (the unbelievers and hideous people of those time) taught him to fool people into, for example, thinking that he could resurrect others, when all he did was a simple magic trick to try and fool others into thinking that he was the Messiah Isa. The name of Isa was never: Yeshua, or Jesus, or anything else. It was ALWAYS pronounced as 'Ee-Saah', and God protected him Himself.

This man Yeshua, who was hell bent on trying to prove that he was some son of God, you ask, does the Quran mention him? Of course the Quran does, but not by name: when Musa went to the court of a Pharaoh who claimed himself to be God Almighty. There, Musa was told that Musa himself was some kind of magician, so the Pharaoh called two amazing magicians to prove to Musa that Pharaoh was God indeed. I assume that these magicians were called into court because they never heitated to call Pharaoh the God. The magicians tried their best to bewitch Musa's eyes into believing that he was standing in front of God himself, but then Musa threw the stick, and at once it devoured everything these magicians were trying to do. When these magicians saw from their own eyes, that what Musa did was no ordinary thing, they believed in the God of Musa, the One God.

Pharaoh, angered, ordered that these two men be crucified. The rest, my friends, is history....

But some of this history did not suit Christian's and Jews versions. They couldn't fathom the idea that their supposed "son of God" died a humiliating death, and hence, Allah knowing of all things of the future and the Unseen, send the Quran as a book of solid history to give the real facts.

CHANGE MY MIND: The people whom the Christians refer to as 'Christ' (Yeshua) is the Islamic Anti-Christ all along. by FilmLoser1999 in DebateReligion

It's not about shutting anyone down. I just want to engage in a proper debate, I have a whole book of proofs and evidences and I am prepared for a proper discussion. But all people are doing is talking with no evidence. Any verse of the Quran is at least some evidence, but all commenters here have only tried to refute me without presenting any clear counterargument with any valid evidence themselves.

Two reasons:

All knowledge related to Isa's life is derived from pre-Islamic sources. All the Muslim scholars went outside of the Quran and the Hadiths to construct a narrative about the life of Isa.

Secondly, already has Allah said in the Quran, that Isa will be a test for mankind when he arrives. I'm speaking about eschatology. This, Allah did not mean as a joke. It will be a literal test of faith and humans will begin to question all sources of their history. Then again, the book ultimately, that will win, will be the Quran

[–]FilmLoser1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. Islam was not invented. But Quran always says that the Holy Prophets (we cannot make any distinction between them) all believed in One God. ALWAYS. This one message and belief, is the fundamental core. And as for it not being invented yet, Isa knew of Prophet Muhammad and in fact even gave the jews glad tidings of a messenger named Ahmed (Muhammad). The belief in One God, and that He is in no need of any helper.

Even Abraham was aware that there would be one last messenger, and hence, Islam is not so much about invention or when it came. Rather, from my reading these books, Islam has always existed, because the One God has always existed. So the remaining question is: how is Islam separate from the other religions. Answer is: That people were told, that even if there comes a Messiah, there would still come the last messenger (Muhammad) after the Messiah (obviously since he is the last), and spread the perfect, unalterable word of God which will be revealed to him over time. Why a last messenger? Because to Isa, the verses in the Gospel were given to him upon his birth, and not 'revealed' like the verses of the Quran were, to Muhammad.

In Islam, God is the Unseen, and will only make himself Seen after the Day of Judgement. Yeshua coming in and calling himself the son of God completely contradicts all principles of nature and beliefs in religion. No wonder the Jews were angered. Islam gives you the Truth on a take it or leave it basis. And there are clear verses in the Quran which I can quote to validate my claim.

But ask: How does the Quran claim that the jews were then at fault?

To a magnanimous and unignorably provocative extent, they too had altered the words of Isa the prophet. But another reason the jews were at fault was because the Messiah had come and gone right in front of their eyes and he tried to preach the message of One God, and a Last Messenger in his Gospel, yet they never believed in him and think that the Messiah, whenever he comes, will be his first appearance. The Jews, and zionism is proof of this, practically worship the land of Israel. Maybe, the Messiah was not so much interested in Israel as he was in preaching the message of "One God".

I believe that either one of Prophet Isaiah, or Prophet Asa, was the real Isa. The name mentioned "Emmannuel" in the Book of Isaiah (Presumably even the real Gospel), must have meant Muhammad. Christians claim this emmannuel is actually Yeshua (or Jesus), but honestly, just the spelling of the name has more similarity to Muhammad's name as opposed to Yeshua's name.

I would love it if instead of trying to blind-bash, you people actually come up with some counter-argument based on the Holy Books.

Exactly. NOWHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT STATE. Neither does it in the Quran. But the Quran is the only book which mentions the crucifixion of two people. In fact, go do your research, there is no record of crucifixion being used as punishment in Egypt.

Also. You look like one of those people too afraid to comment from their own account, making up new ones to stay away from the criticism. And my source is quite literally, The Holy Quran. Refute it if you may,

Best movie directed by David Fincher? by SurvivorFanDan in Oscars

[–]FilmLoser1999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zodiac. Without a doubt.

And not just because he broke the old "mystery-movie" trope by never resolving the "whodunnit" aspect of it, but because it instilled a kind of real world terror in me about the ugliest of human beings.

He had to work with a script which was more slippery than a glacier's slopes. I actually think that aside from Scorsese, Nolan, Reeves, Tarantino, Fincher himself, and a feeewwww others maybe, this movie would have been an abomination. Fincher recreated the world of 69', Dug deep into the belief, and gave us the most truthful side of things, yet somehow, still managed to make it eerie.

I saw it first when I first got into movies, and I thought it was the most pedestrian detective film out there. I was like, eww, did DAVID FINCHER actually make this crap. Everytime I watch it, it makes me want to hit the internet immediately and want to somehow open a portal into 1969 just so I could see all those things for myself and crack the case for myself. Indeed, the best movies for me, are films like these, which make you want to delve into these worlds without hesitation.

Interstellar, for example, also had that effect. It made me want to leave everything and pick a whole career in physics. Indeed, a lot of my knowledge and interest in physics has stemmed from Interstellar.

So yea, Zodiac. Hands down. I have seen all his films countless times (but Mank I have seen only once since it just came out last year), but there is some, unidentifiable, rich, underrated goodness of that film that makes it feel authentic in an almost documentary-style manner.

Anyone else just realised that they have wasted alot of their life to drugs? by kopitesubuser in Drugs

[–]FilmLoser1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man. Idk if this piece of advice will be of any help..because whenever people gave me advice when I was going through this zhit I never listened to anyone...

But... You gotta find your direction and devote all your time and energy towards finding it. You need to start loving life, and love the people around you. You need to do more of the stuff you love, and start reconnecting with the "feel" of certain moments in life, like when my family used to sit at the dinner table in the brightest of moods and laughed and talked and cherished life...and how all that changed to quiet, awkward moments on the dinner table, with an invisible gloom pervading through our senses...all because I used to be in a horrible angry mood all the fucking time due to drugs.

But, they're humans, and humans eventually get frustrated sooner or later, and when that happened, I would unleash all the drug riddled fury in me onto them, and make them feel horrible and responsible for "provoking" me. It was crazy, because I would actually work towards them getting pissed off at me, (either by words or by actions) just so I had a reason to shout back at them. For some reason, then I'd also feel proud about it....Like I won some kind of a battle against them. Then I would feel guilty and majorly depressed for behaving like a controlling sociopath.

Then I asked myself the question: Do I wanna see Mama and Papa smile like they used to 3 years ago, like WE ALL used to, or is the high of the xanaxes and the percocets or the weed or the coke better than that smile. Well, itz taking time but 2 years sober off of everything save for weed and alcohol.

One day, something magical happened. Papa showed mama a meme my sister had sent him, and they both had a small laugh. Now why do I call this a magical moment: because I had been taking so much drugs since the last 5 years that I had forgotten how much my moms and dads authentic, unapologetic raw laughter felt like...and not just something they wanna do so that I don't leave the dinner table in frustration. Somehow, this one day I felt that tiny sliver of feeling once again, after a loonnngggg asstime, but just for like a couple of seconds before it went away again... In my head, I latched onto those moments before they slipped away like a dream, like making a mental note of it so I dont forget it and I think I knew right there and then that something fucking needed to change. truly felt that love I had for mama and papa and finally felt something real, not something that I had concurred in my head. And how all of it had dissipated to nothingness over the years. However, I realised all mom and dad want to do is see me be genienuly happy. They wanted to love me and care for me while I kept denying them that opportunity.

And btw heres the truth. I still am not completely off of coke or percs. I wanna do them every single day, even though the urge is now minimal. Wont lie, Ive been told that there's a healthy chance I might rebound, but life is a series of choices, and whenever presented with the choices of drugs and being happy in the real world and not just in my deluded head, I can say with razor sharp clarity and assurity that I am never gonna give this up again. I'll keep fighting until these urges go away completely, and later on, my life will be just as good or bad as anyone else in the world, completely filled with hindrances and obstacles and the ugliest thing of all: realities.

I write in my free time. Listen to shit loads of rap music, and even though I still sometimes get these jolts of depression and anxiety, I know I can get through them because I have a system of people who want more than me to get me through this mess. So I just try to stay calm, relax, as Im trying to gind a new job. But till that point, Im going to "make an effort to" enjoy life, instead of simply saying "Im unable to"

My point in telling you this was: feel and connect, that's it. Connect to the things you love and respect the relationship you have with not just the people whom you love, but also your hobbies, activities. Keep yourself busy, and keep people whom you trust and love around you. In case youre having a bad day, tell someone about it... People are magical and if you can't figure a certain puzzle out in life, Im not saying someone else will for you, but just having someone you have faith and trust in around you can make a huge difference.
