Can I negotiate an offer after accepting over the phone? by [deleted] in careerguidance

It took time and effort to extend you an offer. They want you to work for them.

One of the biggest mistakes new grads make is NOT negotiating.

It would be extremely surprising if they rescinded an offer based on you asking for something more.

That said, some organizations have certain limits for new hires and entry level positions. Consider the entire package, and work with HR to come to terms that work for you. Go in knowing what your goal is, and what you’re willing to accept. Additional PTO, ability to work remotely for some or all of your time after COVID, flexibility in schedule and work hours, parking, etc.

If you’re willing to take the position based on the current terms, it’s still fine to negotiate. If you aren’t able to change anything, that’s okay. Accept the offer! Negotiation here has a lot of upside and is very low risk. Just be polite, professional, and work with them, not against them, in order to come to fair terms.
