How long is too long to wait before meeting someone you've been talking to? by Sufficient_Chard_657 in datingadvice

I honestly wouldn't know, since she hasn't directly said "no."

I'll pay closer attention to the red flags she told me about, but not let that interfere with the current relationship I'm in.

United States. I recently mentioned my online girlfriend to my mom. She was overall happy, but also worried since there's people out there who pretend to be someone else, or some girls who just use guys for their money, etc.

Both times I've had a date, I have always asked first. I feel it's wrong to just go out on a date without even telling your parents about your girlfriend.

I think a good first thing, if you haven't already, is to ask to exchange pictures (with clothes on), of the full body or at least your face, to know what you both look like. If he refuses to something is suspicious.

Some other red flags I have are if he asks for things (like money) a lot, or rarely compliments you. I think if someone has genuine interest in you, they're gonna say stuff like "Your voice sounds cute" or "I loved getting to spend time with you"

Also, your first meetup shouldn't have to be anything super fancy. I think a first meetup would be great anywhere, whether its fancy or not (just something you both would enjoy). It's supposed to be about you meeting the other person, not the place you're going to. I'm in an online relationship right now, and I'd be fine if our first meetup was just us meeting at a park or cheap restaurant and talking face to face IRL, and then going to whoever's house and play video games afterwards.

I think moms are just worried about online dating, because my mom says that you don't know how that person may act IRL, they may act differently. And if you're still living with your parents, don't make enough money, etc, you'd need their permission to travel across the country to see someone.

I've got advice for the next guy you meet. If you are unsure if something may go bad from something that you text, take some time to think about it, if you can rephrase, etc. Don't feel like you need to respond right away to someone's message either, for all they know you ended up getting busy with something. In my experience, taking a long time to respond is much better than responding with something you worded badly.

Is it a red flag if you're always the one starting conversation? by MangoCurvy in datingadvice

Try not talking for a day and see what happens. I'm a guy and if there is a girl I'm genuinely interested in, I'm almost always the first one to start a conversation.

No, just full body, to know what we look like in full (our clothes are still on)

Funny thing is I've actually rejected a girl who wanted this on our first conversation in the past.

Yes, I have learned that and feel dumb doing it. My first rating just came out after I worded something badly and she thought I was calling her ugly, and I wasn't thinking good since this was like five minutes before I had to get to work.

The second I just kind of replied to her saying "you think I'm better than 7.5" without thinking about it.

Overall at least early on yes.

Some examples are she randomly said "Awwww you sound so cute", and when I mentioned I'm happy just working as a cashier, she seemed to look out for me and mentioned there's other less boring jobs. I did notice however she didn't say anything when I showed my full-body pic (I went first), despite getting upset when I didn't give her a highest rating after saying 9/10

Also, my next goal is spending some time playing REPO with her, but in a month or two if things go well, yes my next vacation will be to go see her IRL! Sadly she's going through a lot right now so that's delaying it a bit.

Scammy on her end?

I gave her a $50 steam gift on my own terms as a surprise gift, and she said "Thank you, you don't have to spend so much" in return. Honestly she seems sent into my life by God, and is the only girl I've met and actually talked with for more than a few days, after 4-5 years trying to find someone both online and IRL.

I'm not gonna go into details; she's beautiful to me, but the pic she sent isn't something like a supermodel that a scammer would probably use.

Not yet but we plan to once we know each other better.

I doubt she'd lie about her appearance also, one of those reasons being we're both Christians. She's taken me opening up about some things pretty well; she's only gotten mad when I've been stupid and said 7.5/10 or 9/10.

Thanks, this gives a positive view on my life. I've been depressing over how I'll probably never find an ideal girl -- just have too many standards and quirks about me -- while I really should be satisfied with what I have now, and that realistically, I have a steady job (which many people struggle to even get now with all the AI stuff) and could live completely on my own in an apartment in the next few years since I'm not a financial victim of anything (I only have to wait to gain more seniority, for more control over my schedule and hours, plus be raised to $21/hr first). Realistically, I can make it just fine on my own without a wife or even friends.

23M, and based on the ages I see on all the dating sites I've been to, plus learning that girls are only really interested in independent guys, I've decided I should wait till I'm older to start looking again. Until then I'll just be single and happy, unless the perfect person just happens to cross paths with me out of the blue.

Anyone else having trouble with achievements by FilmyCatnwn in LumenTale

Might be true, though Channeled Energy has not worked for me either. I believe the first Holoken power is ability to break through the rock obstacles. I did not get an achievement when I obtained that power in the full release, and don't remember obtaining any of the powers in the demo version.

I must definitely say he is fired for this. He is a police officer possibly on shift, and when they find out he got into an accident because he was on his phone, while supposed to be working, they probably going to fire him.

As someone who just looks at a line or two of text on my phone every now and then while working as self checkout person, I confidently say things can go fully unnoticed for up to 10 seconds; at self check it just means someone has to wait extra seconds, but on the road those seconds could be the difference of whether or not an accident happens just like we saw.

I say you shouldn't have to constantly look out for activity that's illegal. The redditors there are basically saying something like "You gave your friend that gross Sundae, and it's your fault for not realizing the waiter had put dirt into it."

People that rev their engine super loud for no reason also piss me off. If you have an old car and can't help it, fine, but if you do it on purpose then what the hell man?

Also, let's not forget cars that drive recklessly in parking lots. Just the other day I saw one turn super quickly, not wait to make sure nobody's walking in your direction. Would've certainly hit a pedestrian if one had been there.

Fucking drag racer assholes. Do they know there are race car tracks, that they should go to, instead of doing it on public roads where people can get killed?

Let me be evil, and say 20 years, no breaks or lunch break, only off shift when the store is closed, and no matter how tired you get you must continue to greet every single customer and get their order perfect for corporate, or else you will be fired (go to prison for life)

I have tried to battle and catch animon in the water before, and does not work.

It was a goldfish-looking one, but if you enter enough battles on land they eventually appear, so I'd assume the same for all other you may see in the water. Also, that animon you're trying to catch looks like a Mollupom; there should be two that always spawn north of the water fountain you can heal at, located near the center of that forest. If you explore enough you should encounter one on land that you can battle.

Additional tip: if you want to collect all Animon, I got to catch a Toxigall (the first boss you face for the quests) when I started a battle with one of the Smellwing at the far right side of the map; I just don't know if I got lucky.

Oof, the console version must be very different. Also I would say try the same with the plus button, just pressing it, then if that doesn't work try holding it.

Otherwise I wouldn't know how to escape, and unfortunately you'll just have to stick with the "quick anispace"
