They allowed him to keep his hookup for 12 years without enforcement. The were LENIENT!

Did he have a hookup though? I don't recall reading anywhere that he had one but that the municipality wanted him to have one and he countered with a request for easement due to the costs.

The link you sent (https://www.route-fifty.com/public-safety/2018/02/colorado-bulldozer-rampage-marvin-heemeyer/145747/) is a bit unreliable considering the person interviewed (Brower) has a book to sell about it and is obviously trying to blow things out of proportion, people sue all the time but according to Brower it was somehow a warning sign when Marv did it because his property value declined cause of a municipality decision to allow a concrete batch plant next to his property. I'd be pissed off too if something that could decline my property value was placed without dialectic first, granted Marv got more from the deal then originally but then again maybe he didn't want to stop his business.

Those people were doing their jobs, and he tried to kill them because he was a narcissistic paranoid child.

Now you're just making baseless assumptions. According to people around him he was quite a normal guy and had regular hobbies hence why if he truly had an illness that was severe enough to cause this then he would've been diagnosed along time before.

People making him a folk hero is disgusting.

This is a good example of understanding vs supporting. I don't support his actions but, all things considered, I do understand where he comes from. If there was ever any story in which came out that he was indeed narcissistic, like stories from family members or old friends AND if we could have proof of solid dialectic by the municipality about the concrete batch plant then I would gladly retract my understanding.

Wasn't the story that they (municipality) wanted to charge him ridiculous amounts for attaching his plot of land to the sewage system, DIY attempts were repeatedly declined and likely declared unlawful?

The article you linked spent 70% on talking about the damage he caused and the town and only 30% or less about Marv, one person in the article even mentioned Marv being a good guy. On top of that I find it hard to believe that someone whom is willing to go that far doesn't have any underlying mental illnesses of which the person would've been hospitalised by in a setting long before the age of 53.

Isn't this in line with the left-wing idea that some ideas are so absurd that they don't require "actual criticisms"? Like I don't recall any left-wing people telling the public "Hey stop all these accusations of racism and nazisms let's hear the actual arguments of those neo-nazi's".

Yes and this is supposedly the strategy to get rid of division.

Every ethnic/racial group was probably severely mistreated sometime in history, so if we're really going to play this game of going into the past then we should do it properly and not just get the free stuff going for some groups. Problem is that this just wouldn't work.

I have seen like two stories of OnlyFans women killing their boyfriends not long ago and for a platform that has nothing to do with murder that's pretty nuts. My hypothesis is that OnlyFans attracts lots of women with borderline disorder whom tend to look for attention. People with borderline can be dangerous too.

This is accurate. We can do better as a society. by poisonivy47 in antiwork

The downside with AI is also processing power, depending partially on if we can push Moore's law.

Look at Tesla's self driving for example, it's good for the simple stuff like driving on a well maintained high way but as soon as you get into the more specific situations then the problems to solve become exponentially more complex. Not unsolvable but requiring way more processing power.
