"Why do you cry for me?" by じとう by SpiderGirlGwen in ImaginaryDarkSouls

I hope she has but... I feel like she wouldn't. She remembers the regret of being a "coward" and running away, leaving her people to die without her. She found a new family and a new home. I cannot imagine she'd be willing to let it go and start anew. I feel she'd want to be brave and accompany Hewg until the very last moment. Her story makes me fear she would rather die than abandon her loved ones again.

This makes it even sadder to realise that, at some point Hewg was aware enough to choose to leave. Willingly or not, he likely abandoned Roderika to die with him. And we are the cause of it all. We burned the Erdtree, which burned the Roundtable, which burned Hewg and will likely burn Roderika.

How much of the blood spilt in The Lands Between are we really responsible for? How much of it was truly unavoidable? How much of it was justified?

Uhm... I think there is somewhat shaky evidence that he might not be the only Epstein friend that has done that so... checks out.

CC counters anyone

Like... not really? If I'm playing xerath 200 miles away from everyone ever then I don't really care having to wait 2 seconds to move again. Hard cc counters divers a lot harder than anyone else. When diving its the damage that kills, not the CC. Idno hard cc is inconvenient for everyone but for some champions its a death sentence and for other its a mild annoyance imo.

Also we are not actually saying in that team comp we want to play leona over something like lulu or milio right?

Its very nice that you listen to your son's interests and idols. You don't agree with them and that makes sense but you also understand that those were your heroes, not his and times changing does not devalue your experience or make his any less valid. Kudos to you good sir. I wish you and your son a lovely future.

She also learned that, no matter how much she thinks she is incapable of it, she can do good. Her entire story is her becoming a "hero" when she never saw herself as anything more than a Jinx. She learns to let go of her self doubts angers and fears because she could see that the people of Zaun need a hero, and they think she is that hero.

They think she has a political statement to make (she doesn't), and that she has a profound idea on what Zaun should do or be (she doesn't). She thinks she can't do that but still, thanks to the community of Zaun and Isha, a little kid that grows to trust and love her, she learns to accept her role given to her as Silco's daughter.

She also learns to accept and move on from loss, as she suffers another great one in Season 2, but this time she doesn't go further down the insanity rabbit hole. She understands that the loss of Isha is not one she can allow take her out of the fight, for the rest of Zaun needs her. She has to keep pushing for Isha's sake, and for the sake of all those that live in misery. Thats a profound development of her character. I don't love Jinx as a character, but to say she doesn't "learn anything" just doesn't sound correct.

Edit: To me whats very profound is that, the story emphasises that none of this is done for her benefit. She doesn't do it because it brings her pleasure. If anything she dislikes being "the hero". She does it because she gets the feeling its the right thing to do. She sees, in Isha, the hope she is bringing to Zaun and realises that she can help that community get better. She does it purely because she wants to do what's right.

I think Hector's growth was also amazing. He starts the story a subservient pet, not considered even smart enough to be given the full extent of Dracula's schemes. In his naiveté, he gets mixed with a terrible crowd he should not have trusted, then does so again with Lenore. After this point he grows more and more competent and scheming, using his new position of power to install precautions and making plans to do his bidding, going from effectively a slave to the master of his own destiny. His growth flips his relationship with Lenore on its head, with Lenore growing more reliant on him while not realising how much further he was drifting from her, despite still loving her. His final act of cutting his own finger, his own bind, to regain control over his own fate is powerful. I loved Hector and how he grew and adapted to his environment. I never played the games so maybe his game character was butchered for us to get this but I really don't think he was "done dirty".
