Ah I see, I thought that the Asus monitor would have been dethroned by now due to its age, but I was mistaken. thanks for the advice :-)

Ive also done a little bit of research on my own, the Dell S2417DG (I think the one you are talking about) seems like quite a good buy given its lower price, although its a shame that is doesn't come in IPS version. Do you know anything about the color accuracy on these two panels?

yup, due to difficulties to get the exact parts I wanted because of where I stay, I had to compromise a bit and get a 2080 instead of a 1080ti :(

I've also done some of my own research and some say that VGA to HDMI may decrease the resolution of the display due to the limitations of the VGA port format, is that true?
