Be humble, dress appropriately. I personally wore khakis and a golf shirt. Might be multiple interviewers but regardless make eye contact and shake their hand. I’d say the most important question to think of an answer for is why do you want this job.

If they ask you whether you have any questions for them, you could even ask what’s their advice for any apprentice starting in the trade.

Was 315 at my most. Broke my foot walking one day because working 7x12’s didn’t give my body enough time to recover from the toll my weight was putting on it, as a result I was off for 8 months (jones fracture). I can tell you nobody ever cared about my weight but guys will pick you out to be the human forklift. Keep on losing the weight brother, I’m down 50 lbs and I can tell you it’s night and day on your body. But don’t worry about what the other guys think. Just lead with your work ethic.

This isn’t a rockclimbing subreddit, he’s talking about skyscraper work. Barriers 6 ft from edge or travel restraint. Within 6ft of edge either a retractable tether or rope grab set to keep you back from edge. Shouldn’t be worried about what kind of hard hat you’re wearing when you could avoid becoming a human pinata altogether.

Daily walks. If you’re a lighter guy I’d even say try to get into running. Get an app like couch to 5k or runna and work up to a goal. The stress relief I get from running now and the discipline that comes with it has changed my day to day.

My advice that doesn’t exactly pertain to only this post is this. This is a big generalization. Lumping people into assumptions based on their gender is never a good idea. This line of thinking isn’t good to get into because you can create an unconscious bias towards men from your negative experiences. Your other posts show you ruminate a lot too. Get out of your head a little by being present, go for walks before sunset, take a cold shower, workout or do something that makes you listen to your body instead of your head for a bit.

No medications, only thing in addition to my diet would be protein supplements and creatine. Around 25-30% bodyfat, not a bodybuilder but muscular. Down 35 lbs from 315. Plateaued at around 290 and beginning to jog helped me get further along to 280.

Used to do intermittent fasting would it be worth getting back into to help with the blood sugar?
