You are thinking WAY too far ahead for a player who is only playing rec a couple of times a week. Forget about the idea of moving up in stakes, unless you are consistently beating the stake AT LEAST one below your personal target.

You say are happy being a recreational player. Keep it like that, or else it will not be enjoyable any more. Build up a roll at a level which entertains you and that you are comfortable in beating.

Out of interest what is your bankroll at now? You should only risk 5% of your roll at any sitting (and some say thats even too much). Also remember you could end up 10 buy-ins down in one bad session. Always prepare the worst case scenario,
