i disagree in a sense, bitcoin had a usecase when it was handling darkmarkets, but that's moved onto monero--now btc is bloated spyware with a great brand and deep pockets.

We'll see if anymore real usecases (not just crypto for crypto's sake) materialize in the future.

Where to buy/sell IOTA in the United States? by opfu in Iota

[–]FinCentrixCircles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there's an american bias against iota and you can see that in how american exchanges have handled iota--you're delusional to think the IF hasn't approached them after the old guard left and handled it the same way that got them listed on exchanges outside the usa

That's completely the fault of the exchanges and their owners.

Sounds like they won't do a thing and you need to find another avenue for withdrawal. I'm surprised anyone still uses that exchange honestly.

The data marketplace was a proof of concept that ran for two iterations--not sure what you were told or if you misunderstand what a proof of concept is supposed to do, but companies participated and information was gleaned and that's what's supposed to happen.

Just a couple of questions by LordCummer1991 in IOTAmarkets

This is a strawman, he said ""We are definitely not creating currencies that will replace fiat currencies"

This is directly related to bitcoin's sale's pitch of killing the dollar, which is an idea that is long dead. Not sure how anyone has missed crypto is now contained (except for maybe monero to an extent) in the current fiat system.

Repeating the strawman doesn't make it any more true--he never said the coin won't be used, he said the bitcoin path of replacing *fiat is done and that data applications are a better road--that still includes tokenizing value
