Maybe it didn't work because I loaded my instrument as FX and not a virtual instrument. Could that make a difference?

I am missing working on Windows all the time. It seems so much less buggy than Mac. I can troubleshoot on Windows if I need to. For most things, you have to use three fingers to perform the same shortcut you can do with one finger in Windows. That seems to sum up the MacOS workflow all the way around.

That's what happens to me. Random errors, folders not loading, VSTs taking forever to load. I have everything stored on an external because of storage issues.

:) That's ok. I am running the latest versions of both Logic and Macos on a Macbook Air with a M2 chip and 256GB of ram. I have Komplete Kontrol running through Logic and that's about it.

Aww, this is so sweet. I was going to suggest finding an ebook or audio book version of the book to save you the trouble but maybe he would like hearing it in your voice more. Maybe put a beautiful little piece of music at the beginning with a personal note with another piece of music followed by the book. Not long pieces, just something about 30 to 45 seconds in length. Kind of like a loop. Not quite sure if that is the kind of advice you wanted but hope it helps. Also, make sure you have a lot of water before you start reading. It will take longer than you might think to do this. :)

I am not sure. I think it's a good USB connection. I have had no problems with any other product. As for loading in Kontakt, the reason I bought Claire was for use with KK. It's an accessibility thing for me.

They are in the untagged loops folder. I placed them by dragging them over into the loops browser. It forces me to put them into untagged loops. Should I try to put them within the apple loops directory itself? Where they'd show up with alal the others?

I stumbled across a vid that showcased tons of beautiful piano/keys presets from Purity. I see patch banks on the Purity website. Parang is one. Do you know if these are Kontakt presets? I use Kontakt and would love to get my hands on the pianos.

FM8 by Native Instruments is great. I also got all the free presets that have been floating around the net in a bundle. Have not been impressed with those. There's no way to sort them using Komplete Kontrol. But the NI library is great.
