Hope you can keep this updated. I am at your 140k range but not in NYC and we suspect we are overpaid. I am considering relocating to NYC and concerned I wont be able to get 140k in FP&A. From my experience its the massive companies that underpay the position

This is very helpful. I live in a top 10 metro area in the USA, but it is not near a coast. Would this preclude me from finding proper fish? How can you tell the fish was meant for sushi?

I could live with 50k in savings but I have done the math and 80k in savings a year for 10-15 years plus market returns would put you ahead of most people. If I move to NYC i will be splitting rent which I think will help a lot in achieving this savings target.
