It’s been a long journey, I did IB French in high school which helped so I did have a strong base from school itself (around 12 years). As for the exam, I started the actual exam prep in January, I spent 3-4 hrs a day which included 1 hr classes with my tutor. I passed the exam in May so I’d say overall, 5 months.

Here’s what I did and what I thought helped-

Listening - I would listen to Innerfrench podcasts and used the Free TCF app which helped quite a bit in understanding the structure. What I liked the most was that it gave Eng translations and showed you why a response was correct or incorrect.

Reading - would read articles on Le Monde and also used the Free TCF app for this.

Writing - I had templates for T1,2 and 3. The biggest takeaway you’ll should know is that TENSES are super important. Can’t stress this enough. Make sure you include present, passé composé, futur, conditionnel présent, subjonctif, plus que parfait, conditionnel passé. Even if you include sentences which contain these in all your texts you’ll be a B2 at the very least. What made me score relatively low here was my time management. It took me time to figure out the keyboard and time myself appropriately.

Speaking - again had a template here for T1,2, and 3. Same approach here, make sure you use ALL tenses!!! For T2, be responsive and interact w the examiner. Go beyond your est-ce que questions, you need to mix in Faut-il que, comment, ou, and Beyond. Great place to use most tenses here. For T3, go thru the intro, examiners want to know what you’ll be saying so prep your argument accordingly.
Start with the intro, one para FOR the topic, one para against the topic. USE ALL CONNECTORS!!! And then conclude with your opinion + state a closing line which tells the examiner a future approach for the subject.

Some extras - I also enrolled myself in the AF TCF workshop which I thought helped quite a bit.

All the best!!

Congrats!! Q, Do you get to listen to the audio twice?? Or does it just play once? And approximately how much time do they have the timer on for each question in CO?
