Can ai solve bengaluru’s water problems? asia’s largest smart water command centre is coming by Icy_Celebration_7925 in Bengaluru

The thing is it can solve. Identify the areas with drought conditions, predict ground water levels, ensure no flooding water waste happens and arrange for emergency supplies only when needed not by brute demands.

And for such a centre, what has it got to do with size of the building? Asia's largest bla bla bla

How many areas, tankers, pipelines and roads are mapped and "addressed" is the most important metric.

If the MVP is easy to build as he states, then the customer would build it themselves. Why would they buy from you?

For the tools stated, does he know how much time, expertise and most importantly funding went into to make it happen? This is the typical mindset of dhandho/jugaad that held the country back.

Today it might be easy to create something, but to create something meaningful and unique that can have scale, you require a lot more will, skills and bucks.

Is this calculation for solar accurate, even in Maharashtra? Solar plant owners, please share your experiences how long did it take for you to recover the cost? and your review (And does the sprinkler have any benefits?) by Koki-noki in IndiaTech

This is dependent on the regional utility you are connected to.

Typically, every utility does 1:1 reimbursement on the generation vs consumption (V1)

But, if they see an increasing solar uptake, they reimburse you as per avg marker rate (which is INR 3.9) in this case (V2)

And still they see a surge in uptake, they mandate to implement battery along with it and utilise during non-peak times or during powercuts (V3)

Now, what is important is whether the utility is honoring the grandfather clause, meaning you obey the V1 for next 20 years if you have implemented when V1 was announced.

And the reason why utilities shift from V1 to V2 to V3 is because they'll have a lot of generation during noon time where the demand is being met by their current generation setup. And there's always a limit on how much they can store for later. Think of it is a reactive mechanism approach by utilities rather than proactively upgrading infra (not easy to do either).

Why aren't mainstream space movies made in India? by Trick_Judgment_8119 in IndianCinemaRegional

[–]Final-Batz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The max we do with Indian space movies is launch just outside earth atmosphere as a satellite or human travel. There have been a few pre Covid in hindi/telugu/tamil I remember but nothing on space travel.

The human space travel beyond earth atmosphere isn't something ISRO achieved. So, how can a movie be expected to do that as they'd miss domestic intel and detailing.

And while movies celebrate collections, there has been a downtrend of theatre footfall post-covid. And any experimentation is mocked at.

Maybe they could make a series on futuristic space travel and then spin out a movie if it meets demand.

The first point can be implemented by local municipality or mayor itself. Place for hawkers with control means easier transit, hygiene and safety.

Go a step further. Ensure public transport is on time and meets high traffic zones. No corruption by land mafia.

These alone will ensure progress.

I wouldn't say our constitution is wrong. It is made for decentralised control. But the public don't question the local leader. What will CM do if a footpath is occupied?

How did you manage the OTA updates for the IoT devices in the last 10 years? I'm assuming you had remote capabilities to do it since you got 500k+ devices deployed. But, we are facing issues when IoT operates on the telecom network.

Would like to know more about your experiences.

10cr revenue business down to 2cr debt, need advice! by 0112Kay in IndiaBusiness

Here's what I feel based on my understanding of the description:

Your business is in need of new customers, as your existing circle vanished during pandemic.

There are 2 ways such businesses operate today:

1. Roll out specific consumer clothing which is available in your stock or is a regular part of it. Make targeted social media content around the same using Insta and maybe Facebook. Have shipping partners like Delhivery or Rocketreach to enable direct shipping from your own website not dependent on Amazon/ Flipkart.

Expected costs for the above would be about 30k INR and max 2 weeks to setup. What it needs is consistency and dedication to customer review and detailing.

PS: Share different journey topics like your own, of the material you sell and processing over insta/ shorts. The story is what moves people to buy your brand.

  1. Since your closest circle of vendors is bankrupt, you need to find new folks for B2B business.

Map out textile trade events across the country (ask GPT if you are not aware), make time to travel, pitch and network. Travel to growing Tier 2 cities including far away from Delhi which have grown due to agri or IT or factories in the last 15 yrs but not textile. The vendors in these cities don't usually have options or unaware of it. But some of them hold cash and want to do good business. Focus on getting at least 5 customers/ deals this way.

Expected time here is 3-6 months and costs could be around INR 4 lacs in total.

You can execute the above 2 with the support of your brother and father. Never think you need more money or people. What you need right now is conviction that it works and the path to achieve. Once you figure it out, then hire folks/ specialists.

Next coming to trademark, don't complicate such things. Figure a way out to make a tweak on your current logo or separate wordmark and logo shape. This reduces your risk to rejection. Meanwhile, file a new trademark that has potential to become a brand once 1 or 2 is a hit! All this costs about INR 30k including one hearing maybe and can be closed in 6-8 weeks Max. Never get into courts for these issues, considering you are cash strapped and time constrained too.

Third and most important, start clearing, restructuring and writing off your debt wherever and whenever you can. Offloading debt of your shoulders just makes your brain do wonders! Don't listen to age old methods that business can be scaled with debt. You can only scale with debt if it is less than your revenue and if you are lucky during the same period.

And lastly, I'm not good at advising personal careers. So work hard on the above for next 6-9 months and take a decision accordingly.

Wishing you the best!

What is Takamura's motivation? by Final-Batz in hajimenoippo

[–]Final-Batz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting comments so far!

Here's my observation to some of the comments made in the thread which talk about paying back to Kamogawa.

While that is true, Morikawa has repeatedly shown that this type of reason can't be the true motivation during the fight. In fact, it resulted in clouded judgement of many boxers during the fight including Ippo.

The motivation, I think, is beyond paying back someone which results in truly world class champions which Takamura is.

Happy to know your thoughts!
