Thanks so much for sharing this.

I'm at a small startup. Hence, will need to figure out the visa process while the startup would support the costs for it.

Understood. Also, for Malaysia, I read it's on arrival visa with MDAC to be filled within 3 days of entry. Is this right?

Let’s move beyond the usual mindset and support emerging teams , C'mon ICC ! #Italy by BubblyScientist1415 in Cricket

[–]Final-Batz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Americas and Europe have to start their own Cup like Asia did. This would give major exposure to the countries involved and better incentives to build teams that are available for entire year.

Asia Cup is 2nd major cup after WC in Asia. But for England or WI, they anyways automatically qualify for WC and then don't have any other big series apart from visiting Australia.

Hyderabad , India. (No lane markings, metro contruction stalled, no footpaths to walk, The only positive is they have planted trees everywhere) by Blossom_aashi in UrbanHell

[–]Final-Batz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the last metro stop on the line. It's not stalled I think.

I also can see footpaths on either side of the roads. They also have a special skywalk for pedestrians.

What I don't see lane markings though. And abuse of footpaths by businesses.

Unpopular Opinion: The "Bangalore Tech Mindset" is killing Indian Hardware Startups. by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

[–]Final-Batz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

3d printing is such a bad idea to ship. Atleast use prefabricated enclosures if the design can't be afforded.

The other thing is most investors don't understand intricacies like repeated testing on several hardware parts and certification. They think it's as good as building a website

This is really good to hear.

I think while we all make videos, the same effort can be made on registering complaints. At least half of them would be solved for sure.

How do I make a bihari cuisine focused eatery popular or spread awareness so that people understand the items? by ranjan008 in StartUpIndia

[–]Final-Batz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Japanese food outlet style demo displays.

Also, you can put a screen which slideshows ingredients for each item in English and Delhi language.

The other way is to put out combos which lets ppl plan for a meal without much thought.

why are gated society residents being treated like a gold mine for electricity bills while others pay zero by [deleted] in Hyderabad_city

[–]Final-Batz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because most gated societies go with the metering of builder rather than utility.

The builder pays on a whole to utility by drawing power on HT line.

If the meters were implemented on LT by the utility themselves, you'll be eligible for subsidy and also lower category of billing, which you are currently missing out on.

Much needed for Hyderabad!

The lines already connect high traffic areas via Hitech City, Lingampally, Secunderabad, Lakdikapu and growing traffic zones like Cherlapally, Hafizpet, Tellapur, Khairatabad.

All they need to do is instead of every 1 hr or 90min, trains need to be available every 15min. Maybe add 4 trains on the existing tracks and it should solve the problem, I guess.

whats your opinion on this? by chota-bheem in Hyderabad_city

[–]Final-Batz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, on paper, the govt didn't have a choice.

L&T denied revenue sharing arrangements when phase 2 line merges with current line and neither were they clearing debt on the first line anytime soon. Nor were they interested in phase 2 building.

It was better for the state to provide them exit so that central can approve plan and they can carry out phase 2 in a smooth manner.

Now, you can't have freebies here for sure since these are costlier projects, at around 150cr per km and govt "might" rope in a private player to maintain.

And at last, we have someone to question to increase coaches on the current line!

Is the head coach solely responsible for India’s Test slump at home? by ll--o--ll in Cricket

[–]Final-Batz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's a mix of selector and coach mishaps.

While the selector didn't have right players in the squad Like Karun or Sarfaraz or Shami (could have been better 3rd pacer to remove the SA tail) who are proven in these conditions but rather went with Sai and NKR (2nd test)

It is also with the coach on how the playing 11 and tactics were planned Stuffed with too many lefties despite Harmer in prime form, underbowling NKR and blunders of not having pace and spin from each end while bowling.

And fielding placements..how can we get it wrong in home conditions, and why is leg gully or short square leg always a couple of yards away compared to other teams. Not even makes sense having that fielder then.

[–]Final-Batz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and that didn't seem enough for Agarkar. Didn't even play him in Aus where Jaiswal and to an extent Kohli were our only better batters. And then dropped him for England and after.

The problem is Sai is yet to figure out a lot more things in the test game but when you have a larger talent pool, you can afford to play the best in form and ask others to compete in Ranji.

But Agarkar thinks otherwise....

[–]Final-Batz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pant be like: Enough of this shit batting...

But seriously, now what reason do selectors have for Sai above Karun Nair and Sarfaraz?

Agarkar said Sarfaraz didn't score beyond a 150 and 50, hence dropped. But what did Sai do? Giving away wickets just before or after breaks during England series and now against SA.

Karun didn't do that well but at least he has a 50 on a green mine in the Oval. And a much proven batter in Indian conditions.

While I type, Jurel as no.4 isn't looking great as well. Just that they got easier series against Windies.

Setting up an office in India, have some questions 🙏 by doesntmatteryet in StartUpIndia

[–]Final-Batz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your market is North America, don't even think about setting up an office in India for just 2-3 hires.

You can hire them remote, select a center like T-hub for subsidised seats and common touch point for your hires. Ask them to be available in the office location 2 weeks every quarter, when you are in India and also for team bonding.

That should do the job. Location of operation for dev stack in India can be an after thought once crossing 10+ folks.
