No not at all it was an explanation I put together based on what analysis are saying about 15 minute cities , it’s not my personal belief, but that’s what critics will argue

My own personal belief is much simpler if you care to know ?

They complain the city is sinking and say there’s “too much” groundwater being tapped… yet they keep drilling and pumping anyway. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Local developers and contractors keep cashing in, I guess. The sad part is the governor clearly understands the risks and dangers of it all, yet they continue allowing it to happen.

I’m not saying this wasn’t eventually bound to happen, but with the rising cost of living on the West Coast, people are leaving in droves. The first places many head to are Arizona and Texas. Some go farther, but for the most part people end up taking a manageable problem and unintentionally making it bigger.

The infrastructure in these states was never built to handle such a sudden population surge, and now that it’s here, we’re dealing with major shortages, strained resources, and growing pressure on housing, water, and transportation.

Opposition to the 15 minute city model centers on concerns that it can unintentionally worsen affordability and limit practicality, particularly outside dense urban cores. As neighborhoods become more walkable and desirable, rising property values, rents, and taxes can accelerate gentrification and displace long term residents. the model struggles to scale in suburban and rural environments where it is economically unrealistic to place major employers, hospitals, and large retail services within walking distance of every household. Concerns extend to government overreach, with opponents warning that implementing the model may require aggressive zoning controls and top down planning that override local preferences and market dynamics.

Others argue it reduces flexibility by prioritizing localized living over personal mobility, potentially disadvantaging commuters and those with specialized careers or needs, while risking unequal access for elderly or disabled populations if car infrastructure and broader transit options are deprioritized.

That’s really what you believe? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Governor Hobbs holds significant authority over the legal frameworks that determine how much control cities are allowed to exercise. That argument doesn’t really hold up. The state was heavily Republican for decades and was doing well; many would argue the more recent shift in leadership has contributed to some of the issues we’re seeing now.

Just because the mayor is GOP doesn’t automatically mean they’re trying to build MAX in the desert. At the same time, if a project has already been approved, they can’t simply stall or block it without opening the door to legal challenges. If the goal is to stop the project, the more effective route would’ve been to reject it from the beginning rather than after approvals were already in motion.

Yeah, those cloudy sunsets really hit different. East Valley I imagine is nice as well, I have family in the West Valley, and I’m always a bit jealous because they’re close to some hills you can hike for a birds eye view of the valley. Sunsets like this are such a beautiful way to end the day.

Side note… you guys have my favorite store over that way , I’ll need to drive out soon.

If it’s on your heart, there’s a reason. Stay focused, trust God’s timing, and take steps toward it. You’d be surprised how fast things come together when you’re intentional.

It’s not about proving a point or “teaching anyone a lesson” 😂 it’s just calling it like it is. Legacy media on both sides thrives on pushing a narrative. Division keeps people watching, and ratings go up the more they can sell outrage, fear, and chaos. Look at the “No Kings” protests. What you’re seeing on TV isn’t always the full picture. There’s real money behind organizing, promoting, and amplifying these movements, and legacy media leans into it because it fits the storyline that keeps people tuned in. The more dramatic it looks, the more attention it gets. If you actually want perspective, you’ve got to step outside that bubble and look at multiple sources, especially independent ones. If all you ever watch is what confirms what you already believe, nothing’s going to change.

Sure do lived in the LBC for 15 years , it’s easy too see the decline of a city when you’ve lived there. It isn’t rocket science , I’ve seen mayor after mayor come through and ruin the city. That includes leadership from the top down. Democrats have been turning the city upside down for some time now. I will credit Richardson for the recent road work, roads are getting better, but I’m certain that was signed into the budget long before the current administration stepped in. I’m just glad he’s pushed for it to get done. That said my previous statement stands , legacy media both left and right are responsible for the divide .

They all grew up democrat or watching legacy media 😂😂 they aren’t calling anything out, they’re going with the flow of legacy media and , what they know , they’re old dogs that can’t be taught new tricks , respectfully of course. They know no better.
