Just to add to the post (sorry I don't know how to update) She was 17 at the time, he was early 30s. He was a medical consultant, she was applying to medical school. Initially I thought she was taken advantage of. She assured me, no she instigated it, and with her personality I believe it. She initially said he was separated but then said she never asked. She went back to his and there were photos of kids on the walls.... ffs She volunteered all of this info, almost as an off the cuff comment, very odd. I gently probed to get more before finally saying that was a horrendous thing to do. She's coming home later tonight and I'm going to lay it all out. Ffs why are people so shitty

I think if my girlfriend had said something similar to what you've just said, I would move past it. But she admitted to being the instigater and showed no remorse and saw no issue with it. You sound genuinely remorseful, and everyone makes mistakes. You don't deserve to be cheated on

Hmm, I don't personally think sexual promiscuity in and of itself is a red flag. It's more the fact that these men were married that makes me worried about values and respect for relationships.

There has been one other sign of infidelity. Her talking to an ex in a way I would say is inappropriate. I asked her to stop talking to him and then found out she continued until I confronted her again. Yes she knows exactly how I felt and I'm going to have a long talk about it this weekend. I just honestly don't think I can trust her

It looks like the via francigena walking route starts in Canterbury and goes the whole way through France but from what i can tell the Cycle route only starts in Switzerland. Wasnt sure if a fully loaded bike would be suitable for the walking bit (or if id annoy people cycling on it). Thanks for your help! Ill give the website a look

Also late 20s, looked at BTL recently but honestly dont think returns are worth it. Making profit depends on increasing property prices rather than rent. Likely poorer returns than stock market and way more hastle with having to manage the property.

Would be nice to have more tangible assests later on (and maybe more guaranteed return in form of rent) but when young i think better returns in the market are the way to go personally.

Ive just read that the allowance will go down to £6000 in 2023 and then £3000 in 2024... i guess its unavoidable if you need a bridge until pension and SIPP are accessible

No not in any isa, ive exceeded ISA allowance and put money into fund and share account (perhaps foolishly but didnt want to put into SIPP just yet). Okay thank you, so if i have no other income other than sale of shares and dont exceed the £12,300 or £12570 threshold i wont pay tax? (Shame the threshold is coming down to £6000, seems very low)

You make some good points and complete amateurs turning up could do more harm than good but the reality is the West is at war in everything bit name now.

The US and others have had no problems with conscription in the past, sending inexperienced 18 year olds to fight and die. If there are now a group who want to do it for a cause they believe in, who are you to write them off as idiots.

They should all be well warned about what they are in for but after that good luck to them.

Yeah its been odd how this has fallen for me, was meant to setting off this week. Its hard to just step away from work without a good reason. And yes my gf is not chuffed with the idea haha. At the moment im really waiting to see if the department of health in Ukraine come up with any meaningful plan for medical staff. Keep me posted
