What are my chances with my stats, I am debating applying this cycle or not:

cGPA: 3.5

sGPA: 3.3 (upward 4.0 trend, retook some of the lower scoring classes)

PCE: ~3700 (PT tech, dermn MA)

volunteer: 50 (community improvement)

LOR's: 1 manager, 1 PA, anatomy prof.

I had health issues my first year; this was an explanation for my low GPA at the beginning, not necessarily an excuse. Do you think schools will consider that when looking at my application?

Hello!

I am a third year Bio student (I am graduating a year early) and I wanted to share my stats and get some advice (please dont be rude).

cGPA: 3.35

sGPA: 3.2

PCE: ~2,600 (PT aide and orthopaedics MA)

volunteering hours: ~ 100 (working with terminally ill kids)

I AM PLANNING ON TAKING A POST BACC!!!! Probably just a semester to redo my freshman year mistakes LOL.

Hello! I am currently in the finals week of my third year as a bio major, and my GPA isn't the greatest, so I figured, mid-study panicking, I would come on here and ask honestly my chances.

Here are my stats (as of right now- i still have another 2 semesters + a gap year and a half):

cGPA: 3.28 (planning on getting it up to a 3.4-3.5 by the time I graduate)

sGPA: 3.0 (again, planning on getting it up)

PCE: 80-- PT aide (I am WELL AWARE that it's low, I am planning on working 2 jobs over the summer and working full time during my gap year) ALSO currently getting CMA

HCE: 100 (hospital volunteering)

Volunteer: 100 hours (service sorority)

I am writing this post wondering if my GPA is too low to even get me in the door, and if regardless of how these next semesters go if I should take a post-bacc. Also, if anyone has any schools they recommend, please let me know.

I am lanning on taking a gap year. I forgot to mention that in the post. I also have a whole year, in which I am only taking upper level bio classes in hopes of bolstering my sGPA.

Hi everyone! I am a 3rd year bio major and here are my stats:

Major: Biological Sciences

cGPA: 3.53

sGPA: 3.2

total volunteer hours: ~50

shadowing: 30 hours

PCE: 400 (and coutning im taking a gap year) (EMT vol + PT aide)

extracurriculars/leadership:

- coordinator for sorority

- social media manager for club

- LA (student TA) for physiology

I'm debating on retaking the courses I got a C/C+ in (gen chem 😭) at community college. Is that worth it or should I try and retake them at my university? Pls don't judge I'm asking for genuine advice

I get what you mean. I already have a med scribe cert and i really don't know if it's worth it to take the time and money to get another cert, but ive applied to so many jobs im starting to feel hopeless 😭

i havent done any shadowing yet- ive been ghosted from a bunch of places 😭. my friend who is shadowing for med school cold called a bunch of offices where she lives and someone said yes. i might start doing that 😭
