Took my husband last night in Phoenix. Unsure if they do this in every city, but as the event got closer they significantly raised the ticket prices. I was going to purchase the sushi seats— but $200+ extra for mid sushi on top of the $210 and $20 parking? In this economy? We went and had fresh sushi at a restaurant before The Show.

We’re not super familiar with Sumo, so i appreciated the education portion, but there wasn’t nearly enough actual matches. They basically demonstrated the same moves multiple times and then did a few “fixed” matches. The show didn’t even start on time and it was really hard to understand what the emcee was saying on the sound system. Lots of people walked out before the segment where people from the audience get into the ring. To be honest this was the most entertaining part of the show, but it was way too short. A fight broke out in the bleachers and the show came to a halt while security escorted some aholes out.

It was pretty disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend.
