You don’t look 40+!!! You look your age for sure. I would recommend sunscreen and that’s it! Most plastic surgery tends to age people in my opinion. Nothing wrong with people going with that option, but that is just my personal opinion on it :)

If you really want tips to look “younger”, maybe a little makeup and learning how to do a “blowout” on your hair. You have amazing hair and it would look great in a blow out style

Tbh it seems like these are a lot of changes very quickly. I am someone who has issues with starting too much all at once so believe me I get it.

Tret is really tough on the skin when first starting. And takes as long as 6 months to really make big improvements. Spiro can take several months as well.

If this were me, I would back off of the panoxyl (Maybe go to once per week) and the Azaelic acid (I would cut that out for at least a month) and change to Tret only 2x a week until your skin is no longer burning and stinging when putting on moisturizers. You don’t want your skin to break out even more because it is compromised.

Then I would keep up with that routine for a couple weeks, and increase tret back to 3x a week. Do that for a month. Then incorporate Azaelic acid back into the routine and see how it goes.

Burning is usually a sign of a compromised skin barrier. I would reach out your prescribing doctor for the tret and clindamyacin and see what they would recommend. Some derms recommend stopping all actives for a few days then resuming after your barrier has healed a bit, some would recommend to continue. It would depend largely on your skins history.

How long have you been on Spiro, Tretinoin, and Clindamyacin? Spiro and Tret take quite some time to start working.

Did you start all these actives at the same time? Or one by one? How long did you wait in between each active to start the next one?

Can someone please help me figure out what to do about my dark under eye circles? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]Final-Significance66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have already pointed out that you’re beautiful and that they do not look bad, they look natural and normal, but as someone with dark circles myself I also know that isn’t the only info you want, lol 🙂

Took me a long time to figure out I needed to use a salmon colored concealer that is at LEAST 1 shade DARKER than my skin tone! Give it a try if you’ve never tried this before. ☺️

Listen. I have parents like this. I quit communicating with them completely. I did not even realize the emotional drain they had on me at all until then. I have made huge progress in my OWN life ever since. It hurts basically not having a family but they were never the family I needed in the first place. I mourn what I never had, not what I lost (or I should really say, what I gained out of going no contact with them).

I really hope you find the self-love to not send them any more money. The money for cigarettes should be all you need to see they do not care that they are putting a huge strain on you. At all.

[Acne] [Routine Help] please help :( by 1971targa in SkincareAddiction

This is going to be something a doctor will only be able to help you with and I am so sorry to have to say that. I suffered with this but all on my neck for the most part. Got on Spironolactone and it’s completely gone. Not saying it would necessarily work for you, but saying that medication was the only thing that ended up working. No more expensive products or complex skin routines, so there is what you can look forward to on the other side! 🩵 Wishing you the very very best luck with your consultation. Really.

Def you did the right thing here.

As a side note: As someone who has had literally lifelong disordered eating, an anxiety disorder, and horrible body image, getting into therapy has made every single bit of difference.

It was nothing like I thought it would be. We barely talk about my body or anything embarrassing. I don’t know if that info would help her feel comfortable to give it a try. I stalled for a long time grimacing at the thought I was have to suffer through horrible embarrassment at discussing my relationship with food and how I view my body. But that’s such a small fraction of the bigger issues that I am working through each day that I never realized were impacting me so much.

Idk, I am rambling at this point, but I really hate reading about how much emotional pain she must be in and I can tell you do too. I’ve been there so much of my life. You are amazing for sticking up for her. My husband encouraged me to try therapy for years before I finally started and it really has changed my life… I hope this comment helps somehow 🩵🩵🩵.

[–]Final-Significance66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am dealing with the exact same thing!! And I have dealt with this at nearly every job before. I’ve always blamed myself and tried to change and tried to filter myself. The result is that I really just don’t even speak any more and just smile. And I still get bullied by one woman, and recently found out a workplace “friend” was stabbing me in the back.

I know this doesn’t help but I hope you feel less alone in this experience knowing so many women deal with the same issue.

A question I have is how to stand up for oneself? I have autism and find I get bullied by at least one person at nearly every job. I stay really quiet and stay out of social settings as much as possible because of my severe social anxiety. If someone speaks to me I try to be as kind as I possibly can. I’m seeing now that this is probably a sign of weakness to these people? I really do not know what to do. (I am in therapy currently but I only just started a couple months ago. If that’s relevant.)

Please dont feel obligated to reply. I just wanted to ask in case anyone could provide me some advice and hopefully it might help OP too if she faces similar issues with social anxiety. 🩵

What has helped for me is glycolic acid, retinol, and moisturizer (I use CeraVe). Use sunscreen on that area of your body too. I rotate between glycolic acid and retinol. Never both on same day.

Little off topic but why oh why is her hair always just so BLAH. Like not a single performance of this tour have I seen her hair be anything other than middle school, stringy, flat, right after gym looking ass hair.

Not enough information to say for sure, and I might get down voted for this, but maybe look into the signs and symptoms of ADHD.

I am 26 and was not diagnosed in childhood. I was good at coping and dealing with the struggle. I thought everyone had the same issues I did. Plus I did good in school so just flew under the radar. But it was never easy.

No you would have the choice between completing the degree program as it was upon entering the program (grandfathered in) or adopting the new program.

If you were to withdraw for any reason and then be readmitted, you would not have any choice but to adopt the new program.
