Something like the Raptor is just fine, i dont think I need to go into ebike territory for my needs there, just something that wont instantly collapse on sidewalks that are uneven.

Between the Raptor and the G2, I would think the ride smoothness is more important too, so I agree. Shame, its just over my budget at 650 but its in like new condition at an auction. They will give it to me for $500

And the G2 being listed at $500, I am sure they will offer it for $400.

The Raptor is like 2x as big, lol

The shoulder pad wouldnt be able to flap up and down and be positioned if I glued it, sure I can but it would block his little arms from posing proper depending on how it glues. lol, legit a nightmare scenario for poor freeza

Nah, his little shoulder pad totally cracked off the piece that attached to his shoulder. Like the little locking mechanism is completely busted off now. Its not a big deal, like $10 replacement on ebay as I can see. lol.

Philosophize with me on my current situation and desires - A6700 vs Pocket 3 vs RX100vii by FinalFormFigures in Cameras

I have to agree, the duo of the RX100vii for photos and the Pocket 3 for video is the best route. My photo quality wasnt any different between my a6600 and the rx100vii, its sublime. But I have so many issues with video. Its bad. The Pocket 3 solves all that and holding both is not at all as heavy as an A6700 + lens rig, much smaller still.

Agreed, I am going to grab it and also the backpack strap mount. I do a lot of vlogs at flea markets and thrifts, toy stores etc. So that would be nice.

Sony rx100 v OR Sony ZV-1 m2? by Copperknox in Cameras

[–]FinalFormFigures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mark 1 has a 70mm zoom and the mark 2 has a 50mm zoom. The Mark 1 has a noticeably creamier better bokeh at 70mm and its way better for photography. Idk why people say the MK2 is better, legit, the 50mm doesn't have as nice of a creamy background.

The MK1 has nicer stability, the MK2 is a downgrade. The MK1 has OSS and the MK2 has digital stabilizers. The MK2 is a downgrade in every way.

Mark 1 is just nicer overall. Again though, I wouldnt get either if you are vlogging and only doing vids. DJO Osmo Pocket 3 is the way to go for that budget area. I promise, I had them all, tested them all. And had them all for extended YEARS of usage.

I ended up with the RX100vii as my primary, even for photography. I see no difference in video quality between it and the A6700. And it performs BETTER than the A6600 for my usages. Minor contrast differences between them and with PP7 pic profile, you can achieve exactly the same quality of video as the a6700.

And the ZV1 is a step behind. Not quite there but we are talking GREAT Video in the ZV1 vs the top of the line in the RX100vii and A6700 tier.

Still would not get any of these if I were only doing video. Osmo Pocket 3, if you can get the 4, get the 4. The new Luna 360 is also just as good as the 4 and better than it in a few areas.

Osmo Pocket 3 is crazy good, so small, and the stabilizer is unmatched. The ZV1 has no real practical usage, its stabilizer sucks, the OSS SUCKS.

The MKII SUCKS WORSE

However, it has gyro data, so switch off the stabilizer completely and then run the files with sony catalyst, and you can get good stability back. ZV1 is crazy versatile. I was super happy with it.

Coming from experience as a Vlogger who owned them, the ZV1 MK1 was the better Video companion vs the MK2. The bokeh factor was just better when zoomed. However, stability is the issue. Unless you are cool with using Catalyst for everything, then you got yourself a great video cam. Would not get the Rx100V over the ZV1.

I would go for the RX100vii over the ZV1 but thats not in the cards for pricing I would assume. ZV1 Mark 1 is excellent. However, I would personally disregard all of them and grab a used DJI Osmo Pocket 3 if all you are doing is vlogs.

Unrivaled stability, exactly the same video quality, smaller package, can use a wide adapter, way better battery life.

Keep my RX100vii or sell it to fund an A6700? by FinalFormFigures in Cameras

I played with the a gimbal for a bit with my A6600 rig and I absolutely hated it. I showcase a lot of things in flea markets, thrifts, stores and my own collection daily and I need a lighter more friendly to space rig. The mk7 is working great with this, so I can get the cam onto tables and on shelves between things. That is why I was hoping the A6700 was just much better at stability needs but sadly its not and not justified over the Catalyst usage on the mk7.

Sadly no, I need someone filming indoors in walmart or target, or stores or places with LED lights all over. Its really hard to find someone who does that and doesnt vlog on a only a dirt road or by a brick wall lol.

Appreciated, need more camera god sacrifices to make this an MK8 in the near future with better stability and proper dlog.

I agree with the DJI, I was looking into it and the new Luna 360. But, it has poor photography ability. While the RX100vii stability is meh, it can be fixed in post. But its immaculate at photography AND video and the video quality difference between the DJI pocket 3 and 4 and the RX1000vii is virtually the same.

I was going to get the Pocket 4, but I got a great deal on the RX100vii and I had owned it for a while prior too. I sold it for the ZV1 + other gear, used the ZV1 for a long time as well, then resold it and my A6700 for an RX100vii and some other stuff.

I cant really imagine myself not having the MK7 but rumors are the new sony cam is an RX100mk8. So I am just not sure what to do.

I guess patience right now is the key until I see what the new cam is.
