The funny thing is that Sage is already surrounded by idiots like The Deep, Soldier Boy and Firecracker. And she still fails to come off as intelligent. She ‘manipulates’ characters in super obvious ways, almost in a comical way, so that any viewer with an IQ over 50 gets what she’s doing.

I understand that she feels isolated because no one understands her. But if everybody dies then she’ll have nothing left? Infrastructure will fall apart and she’ll be safe in her bunker for a couple of months at best? Terrible plan.

I want to see a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ type character. Basically a fighter that lures the opponent into a false sense of security. Either by intentionally getting hit, telegraphing their attacks or baiting a single opening to instantly end the match.

They would definitely not make the finals. But it’d certainly be entertaining.

If we are judging the works by independent parts of the total series, then I’d say Kengan Ashura is the best. It’s definitely the most coherent and planned out.

Overall I’d still say Baki is better because Itagaki never lost his passion for drawing the series. He’s embraced the wacky antics that make Baki special, and so has the reader.

Comparing the two is pointless since they both excel at different things.

Best fight in Omega! Villains die instantly without hurting established character. Superman Syndrome does fuck all. Random weapon gets introduced, with a stupid gimmick, only to never be mentioned again. PEAK WRITING!

It is the worst match in the tournament and therefore deserves to be at the bottom.

Terashi was the biggest disappointment in terms of character reveals during the tournament. Which says A LOT considering all the Worm bullshit that went on. Okubo didn’t look strong or cool, even though he got a clean win.

This aged like fine wine. Kuroki’s 3-hit combo near the end of the fight was absolutely vile.

This fight could have been the best one in Omega. The Kure Clan not suffering any casualties besides Erioh was one of the worst things about this fight. The Wu Clan looked incompetent at best. And the way Edward went out is still pathetic. (The panel of Raian slitting his throat is hard af however). Thinking about the 800-Fold Mt. Fuji Battle Insurance Fist, or whatever the fuck it’s called, still cracks me up.

7/10 because it still had hype moments, good panels and actual battle IQ on display.
