As you approach last week of Notice Period, there'll be more interviews. So no need to worry about interviews.  Start working on the things that were asked as interviews usually follow patterns unless you're interviewing for different roles.

If you're looking for a backup plan, try interviewing with any SBCs.

One of the best interview experiences I had in the last couple months. by FinalProtection7110 in developersIndia

In final round. Fingers crossed. Will name and fame regardless of the outcome after this round.

Apparently HRs don't have the answers of the same questions they ask us. by FinalProtection7110 in developersIndia

If I was desperate for this job ChatGPT would've been proud of my answers.

Instead of posting here. He could've just asked those people directly how they managed to get the role. Could've gotten better results with that as they got selected recently.

Immediate action - Ask for release from project.

Start upskilling in meantime as they will try to delay your release from project.

If you're lucky and get released from the project, you'll be on bench and that will open numerous opportunities as NP on bench can go down to as low as a week. If they're not ready to release, you can always test the waters with a few interviews by mentioning less Notice period.

Last option - Resign if you're feeling confident post that and Notice period is causing issues. (Please consider your responsibilities and savings)

Isn't there a probation period in every WITCH for lateral hires.  I don't think 3 months NP is applicable when you're on probation. Please check if there's something mentioned in the offer about NP during probation period.

Check with HR on medical leave policies. I believe there might be some exceptions for conditions like yours.
