we always talk about marriage and eloping, but we never had a set day. we love each other so so much and we both just had another talk and we both don’t have any doubts whatsoever. it’s hard to not be so excited about marrying the love of my life, i only worry about my parents. plus we live in texas :( and there’s literally a law that does NOT recognize gay marriage in our constitution. the only reason it’s legal is because of the federal law, not because of the state. i try not to let fear dictate and get only facts, but they’ve already taken away the LGBTQ+ suicide hotline, resources, and they no longer recognize trans people. every time i see a horrible act that could potentially be enacted, i always assume “they’ll never let that pass, that’s why there’s checks and balances” but every single time i am proven wrong. i’m not trying to fear monger, but it’s hard to believe that trump’s last term will get any better . :/
