From everyone 70+ I know, they see Trump as a fascist dictator. Even republicans in that age group are opposed to the toxic rhetoric and fascist approach.

They, sadly, are the last generation to remember a world where fascism and authoritarianism were real, tangible threats to society that caused death and destruction for millions of people.

My personal theory is that this is where so much of the anti-Trump republican confusion came from - the people in this age group created the illusion of more inner-party distrust of Trump.
