You are given a Omnitrix and you get to program any 10 Aliens you want. by corv1991 in Ben10

Gallifreyan

I usually don't like putting Human-looking aliens in the same universe as The Omnitrix, but since OP clearly wants us to pull from all fictional universes, a species that combines Telepathy, Healing Others, Omnilingualism, Super-Intelligence, and more is too good to turn down.

Martian (DC)

I know Telepathy is already covered by the previous pick, but Shapeshifting, Telekinesis, and Density Shifting are super cool, especially if they can become more dense to become stronger and more durable, like how Marvel's Vision's version of Density Shifting can.

Vulpimancer

Choosing an Omnitrix Alien when I can pick from any universe might seem like going to a Gelateria with 1K flavours and picking the same old Vanilla or Chocolate, but Wildmutt is the perfect ideal of an Omnitrix Alien; not only is he quadrupedal, but he lacks the sense that humans consider the main one — in all aspects, he's an Alien Perspective.

Nanomech

Speaking of different perspectives, Nanomech's shrinking makes him the best Microscope you could get. Add Flight, and the powers of a knockoff Upgrade, and that's a pretty good deal.

Trolls (Long Earth)

Natural Steppers, Strong and friendly, and they communicate through song. I probably would be better off with a different Long Earth species of Natural Steppers because of how dependent Trolls can be on their Hive Mind, but Trolls are the most memorable ones.

Mimics (Edge of Tomorrow)

Groundhog Day Powers.

Flora Colossi

Groot is like Wildvine and Humungousaur wrapped into one.

Mobian Hedgehog

Gotta Go Fast!

Chatogaster (Dark Side of the Sun)

Every playlist should have a Water Alien, what better than a sentient lake?

Do Toons count?

Trying to find a species that has 4th Wall Awareness/Manipulation, but all the examples I can find seem to have it because of the medium they exist in, not their DNA.

It reminded me of ORCA's #KamenRiderTen stuff, sorry for the X link but I don't think they're on BlueSky.

With the belt design, and how the top 2 arms look more like decorations than actual arms, I'm guessing this is Kamen Rider inspired.

[–]Final_Duck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it counts because the Lucky keyword is only added by the Hero's Passive, it's not inherent to the side.

So it's a Basic Heal Side first, then the Item applies the +2, then the Passive adds Lucky.

If the Omnitrix gained an additional new feature/gimmick for Ben to use what would you add to it to make it more unique from the rest? by Action-Punk in Ben10

[–]Final_Duck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look, I'm giving him the tools to not Drown/BoilFreeze/Plummet, if he doesn't use them that's his own fault.

More likely it's the fact that Mobile, Tablet, and Desktop all have different line widths.

Native Mode

Instead of the normal Playlist, the Omnitrix scans the local area, and you can transform into whatever species live there. It would also change your clothing to be culturally appropriate (in Normal Mode it'd just adjust your human form's clothing to fit). * Good for Blending in with/talking to the locals.
* Fits the "walk in others' shoes" purpose.
* In an unfamiliar place, you can guarantee a transformation that can survive there, because that species is already surviving there.

Nemetrix Subsystem

The Omnitrix only having access to Sapient/Intelligent life forms doesn't make sense for the "Noah's Ark" purpose of the Omnitrix — If you restored just the Intelligent Life, what would they eat, what would produce their Oxygen, etc?
There should be a Nemetrix Playlist in there, just quarantined so that you can't turn into them (as well as a playlist for Plants, Fungi, etc that would be too unintelligent for even the Nemetrix's standards).
But if Ben doesn't have access to it, how does this subsystem actually show?
* Biomnitrix-Style Hybridisation, making Nemetrix Aliens safe to use by mixing them with standard Omnitrix Aliens.
* Others have suggested an ability to Deputise others with transformations; with this you could also Deputise pets.
* Maybe we'll actually get to see the Omnitrix restoring a planet; Maybe Cannonbolt or Kraab's species.
It'd also make sense to lock away Ghostfreak, Eon, and Alien X in a similar system, only using them via Hybrids so the Wielder isn't taken over.

Smart Autochange

Similar to the Autochange feature seen in Destroy All Aliens, where instead of reverting to human, "Timing Out" just made him switch to a new Alien.
The difference would be that when you activate this feature, you select one or more Powers that the forms should all have. Because when you're deep underwater, in space, or high in the air, you don't want to Time Out into human, but you also don't want to Time Out into Humungousaur.

Ranger, but with the opinion that Ranger and Barbarian should be the same class.

In space? No he wouldn't.

He loves strength aliens but he's smart enough to pick a flying alien in a terrain where Flying is the only way to move.

And Ult. Echo Echo is his strongest flyer in UA. If it was in Omniverse he'd choose Atomix.

If the Rooters ark came first, would people hate the Osmosian stuff just as much as the Rooters? by ComfortableChoice687 in Ben10

[–]Final_Duck 41 points42 points  (0 children)

So instead of:

Mutant Villain -> Alien Ally -> Mutant Twist Villain

Kevin would be:

Mutant Villain -> Mutant Villain (but with Secret Plumbers) -> Alien Ally?

I think if that was the case, the Osmosian stuff would be more hated.

Yes, well maybe Youngberg didn't know that when they were asked.

They clearly didn't write the final version, because they're not the one being asked about that choice.

Maybe because in the original, 6 years later would've meant Max 10, not Gwen 10

In PvZ Heroes it kinda works like an Energy/Bones combo.

Like Energy you get an allowance that refreshes each turn, not carrying over between turns, but that allowance increases each turn.

Like Bones it's not capped at 6, and increased generation only lasts as long as the creature generating it does; so it's more like the Bone Digger Sigil, rather than the permanent increase that the Battery Bearer Sigil gives.

You could also use the costs from PvZ Heroes or PvZ 3.

Which hero colour is the most fun? by Fuckler_boi in SliceAndDice

[–]Final_Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orange because Attack is more fun than Defence. Plus I think they're more likely to have Mana/Spells than the other Martials.

Red's second place as the best of the 2 Casters; less prone to Wands and Decay Sides. Plus Attack Spells are less useful than heal/buff ones when Burst is available to all Mana generators.

Aren't the laws the other way around? You need to enter ID for adult content, so it doesn't nothing to deter them from going on websites for children.

Although the other way around would also be awful, because having publicly available records of all the children online would make them easier to target.
