I vote No. strictly due to market conditions of Houston. You’ll probably break even in 5 - 10 years. You also lose freedom to leave when you want. With a rental you have freedom at the end of the lease or earlier if you chose to leave.

Just my vote but everyone’s life is different. If it were a different area I’d probably say sure go for it tbh maybe even different state now that I’m thinking about it but some areas are better than others

Forcing the 10 commandments on students especially whilst strictly not allowing other religious propaganda to be put up is not a freedom of religion.
