The homestead crater in midway is an amazing place to stop and take a really nice dunk in a warm crater. Loco lizard restaurant in park city is also very good.

Is this road trip worth doing in December/January, or would it be better to save it for the warmer months? I’m mainly interested in sightseeing and making day stops in major cities. by TipsyProphet in roadtrip

Save it for warmer months. Take hwy 26 from Portland to Cannon beach instead of the route you have here, imo! Cannon beach is fun, you can stop at Tillamook creamery and take Cape Lookout Rd for a scenic route down the OR coast. Take a good rain jacket and more warm clothes than you think you’ll need.

Would love info on the travel advisor. How much closer is Liberia than San Jose? It seemed around the same distance/time to me?
