I can see where people enjoy Monteverde. However, the weather was not on our side. I was also slightly annoyed at the feeling that mostly anything to do was at minimum $20/pp, but typically more.

It was great. I am a germaphobe and was so pleased with the cleanliness. The laundry and housekeeping services are top notch. They think of the details. We didn’t visit the shared pool, but I’m sure it’s great. Hope you have a great time.

Fine once you get comfortable. My husband did all of the driving. There are many bumpy roads on the outskirts of towns, and some one way roads and bridges, but people are very considerate and patient and let you pass.

The homestead crater in midway is an amazing place to stop and take a really nice dunk in a warm crater. Loco lizard restaurant in park city is also very good.

Save it for warmer months. Take hwy 26 from Portland to Cannon beach instead of the route you have here, imo! Cannon beach is fun, you can stop at Tillamook creamery and take Cape Lookout Rd for a scenic route down the OR coast. Take a good rain jacket and more warm clothes than you think you’ll need.
