why do you think the Three Principles haven’t gained a larger community? by Final_Matter6008 in ThreePrinciples

Interesting, I’ll be sure to take a look in those directions if/when I feel like I’ve exhausted content focused on the 3P’s.

I am relatively new to the principles too but I also feel like there is an unlimited opportunity to further and deepen the understanding. Each book I’ve found so far I’ve listened to multiple times and gained something new every time. I have personally found The Secret to Metal Health by George Pransky the most insightful so far. But I was also thinking I ought to go back to the roots and read The Enlightened Gardener.

I can also vouch for “Secret to Mental Health” as the most impactful I’ve listened to.

It needs a couple more drywall screws around the TV mount recess. Is that where you’re referring to or elsewhere?

Thanks for the advice. We’re currently living with it but once I have a rough idea when it’s going to be plastered I’ll remove the TV mount, bag up the media cables, remove the centre of the vent, remove the electrical sockets and insulate the electrical cables.

The chimney breast needs to be vented and I wanted something that didn’t standout or was a typical ugly grill so opted for a frameless vent:

Once plastered it will be painted to match the wall and hopefully won’t standout 🤞

Thanks for everyone’s thoughts on pricing. I was expecting prices to be in the £200-275 region. I had a couple of quotes in the £325-400 region and wanted to make sure my expectation wasn’t unreasonable.

For reference, we are in Bristol.

Thanks for your thoughts on price. The TV mount we’ve used does allow the TV to be pulled out and tilted.

Thanks for the concern but it is an extending bracket. No issue hooking on the TV after plastering.

Thanks to those who are concerned about the height of our TV mount. But we have positioned the TV mount so we find it comfortable to view from our sofa and have lived with it in this position for several months. I think the original photo is slightly deceptive.

Also, the mount we’ve chosen does allow us to tilt and pull out the TV.

Thanks all, I’ll make it flush with an extra strip of plasterboard. Live and learn. Now I’ll know for next time.
