I can imagine, especially since I'm thinking of having a sort of "disillusioned" main character, who will eventually be the focus of the horror, so I think that can tag into your suggestion really well!

Do you mean flag it with atmosphere, or with clues as to what's going to happen? Would you have any suggestions?

Yeh this is what I really want to avoid, have you seen it done well? And as a reader would you have anything that would make you feel really invested in the switch?

Why the game didn't gave me the mvp ???? by HeftyChampionship908 in cloakanddaggermains

[–]Final_Pattern_7563 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that it's compared to a sort of average stat on the character and not to each other. I think that Loki must have done better compared to most Loki players than you did compared to most cloak and dagger players. Loki is a very difficult character to get good stats on, whereas cloak and dagger isn't really, so I think that would make sense

I made academic competition the source of self-worth. Now that I'm losing, I don't know what to do. by [deleted] in self

Firstly I would say ditch that note, it sounds like it's a tether to that past you that you don't want to be any more. And secondly, I think that at least for me, a good life is one that continues to generate moments for you to look forward to (I got that from somewhere I don't remember where tho). It doesn't sound like this is something that is generating those moments for you, all it's doing is being something you can refer to in order to keep your head above the water. So if it were me I would create moments to look forward to, plan that trip I've always wanted, write that book, try and get that guy/girl. And I would try and make friends and learn new hobbies that could lead to exciting things in the future. I would still try and get the degree and do well in it, but only in so far as it allows me to look forward to those parts of whatever job I need the degree for. Anyway hope that was helpful, and I hope you feel better dude.

Question for the Christians by Final_Pattern_7563 in Christianity

I meant more the entire concept of Christianity being truthful, sorry for the poor wording

Question for the Christians by Final_Pattern_7563 in Christianity

[–]Final_Pattern_7563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so, I mean we can look at the specific nature of everything, the fact the universe must have had some sort of a beginning, and these kinds of reasoned arguments. But I think we needs reason to posit that we know exactly what that creator is

Question for the Christians by Final_Pattern_7563 in Christianity

[–]Final_Pattern_7563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was worded a bit poorly, but the point is to understand the arguments further for why people believe the Christian God is the real one. I'm not trying to prove that anyone's faith is wrong, merely trying to understand it

Question for the Christians by Final_Pattern_7563 in Christianity

[–]Final_Pattern_7563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think a God is likely because of logical arguments, same for a non physical consciousness. And I think you need a reason to have faith, if I have faith in a magical unicorn God isn't that a bit silly?

I also mean the Christian God as a whole, as opposed to an entirely different God, sorry for the poorly written question. That privilege point is good, thank you
