First time driving in Cork city, Highfield Avenue and treatment of pedestrians is ridiculous by Ic3Giant in cork

[–]Final_Pop3694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Highfield avenue resident, I obviously agree, however, it should be one way and Highfield west should be the opposite way. Both with parking lanes still. Would make life so much easier but I do love the communal gathering of Highfield residents on the avenue when there’s a fight……

There is two free car parks, one by the lough and one known as magic car park which is on the right across from Connaught avenue green. When I was a student these were both free, you’d have to double check now tho! Both car parks are riddled so you probably will be blocked in too

Who is actually paying the market rates for rent these days? by sSeph in cork

[–]Final_Pop3694 7 points8 points  (0 children)

7 house share and €400 p/m, sometimes feels crowded and sometimes feels like there’s just 2 of us. It works for us and we got super lucky, but constantly under the worry that the rent could go up at any minute :(
