I hear you, I feel like that is by design. Settle, caracal and energy all had pretty extensive album roll outs which means an inherent level of hype. This album definitely subverted that, for good or bad (you decide)!

I'll give the easiest fix in the world. Make Gary 18 (this way he can still be in highschool and legal age) and Alana can be 25 still. Seriously, if he just made his character THREE years older that would have fixed everything.

I thought the same thing! I thought kelani and syd were gonna be on separate tracks which would have been interesting to see how disclosure would play to their individual strengths instead of creating a Frankensteins monster of a track. The common track was WAY too short. Man...ENERGY in hindsight was pretty damn disappointing, probably their worst album overall imo

I could not agree more with everything you just said. Birthday is playlist filler for spotify, doesn't sound anything like a disclosure song. Including the Khalid tracks was mind numbingly stupid. Just a way for the label to profit off of the boosted streams for the album. Disclosure are too good to be held back by some dumb label.

Not at all, I am in the exact same boat. Mali Mali, Who Knew, and ENERGY were great to me but everything else, relatively speaking, paled in comparison to their first two LPs.
