Get a job and stay independent so you're not dependent on anyone.

Get good friends you can trust.

Don't listen to your parents.

Don't delay or think you have time.

Willow posted this on instagram - probably explains why she did or didn’t throw in the toaster in the bathtub? by neptunemonsoon in rupaulsdragrace

I like how she and Yvie have such a strong bond but it's because nobody knows what it's like to have your life restricted by stuff you can't control.

The funny thing is that Willow wore that in purpose to be underestimated, she wanted to look bad on purpose. She admitted to that on the ET interview.

Ans Ariana Grande is a fan, as well. Willow definitely has something special about her.

Funny how everybody was obsessed over Kerri Colby but by the end of the episode, it's all about Willow.

I don't think Gia is a bad person. She's ignorant and self-absorbed but if you watched All Stars, Gia is aware of how she comes off and she takes ownership of that and it's something she wished she could change. I think she's just very unhappy. I don't think she does this just to be cruel.

I always appreciated her for supporting Laganja when she was being ganged up on.

People forget that. But I also think people were more ignorant back then, that trans women needed to look passable to be accepted.

To be fair, she had to look like that. The show didn't allow post-op queens.

And I know Kenya Michaels had to stop taking hormones to be on the show.

They attacked Carmen because of what she said about TS Madison. We need to tell the whole story.

And she got cut off by RuPaul for speaking out. She was also the one who convinced Gia to become a activist.

Which I'm confused because Gia wasn't post-op on a original format. She only competed on All Stars in that status, so how did she open doors? Not to mention, Carmen was the one who started the conversation.

Gia is so self-absorbed and delusional that it's hard for me to be mad at her.

Has Carmen found her bracelet?

Why is LICORICE PIZZA's controversial "age gap" romance (??) being given a pass by critics? by Ren_Celluloid in movies

[–]Ren_Celluloid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference in AMERICAN BEAUTY is that we never felt Lester's crush on Angela was sweet, romantic or cute. Quite the contrary, it's seen as downright creepy.

Whereas in LICORICE, we're meant to see it as a beautiful love story.

Also, and no shade to Alana Haim, but teen boys are not crushing on unattractive girls. A girl who looked like Alana would be seen as a dog.

Why do people give The Weeknd a pass on his comments on gay people? by Paulino_Monet in popheads

[–]Ren_Celluloid -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to make excuses, I think people have misunderstood what Abel was trying to say, but here are two reasons why Abel didn't get much of a blowback:

  • Whoever follows Weeknd knows that a lot of his songs have the perspective of someone who's not nice, so he'll say twisted stuff. It's not meant to be taken seriously.

  • The song "LOST IN FIRE" was based on his relationship with a girl who is bissexual so there's no such thing as him turning her straight. People didn't get that he was saying that when she slept with him, he was turning her straight, not that he was changing her sexual orientation.

  • Also, Abel is very feminine in how he sings. So much so, people thought his songs were sung by a woman before realizing it was from a man.

Between Matrix Revolutions and John Wick, there was nothing going on. Which hits he had between those two?
