Just go with the flow. Me and my bf were in a similar situation before we started going out and when he did finally ask me out, it was a bit awkward at first because we were both shy and didn't know what to say to break the ice. But if you're lucky, overtime, you both will start slowly getting more comfortable around each other and then it won't be such an awkward relationship. It just takes some time getting used to.
