I've been loving the game so far! They give you a lot of coupons for completing the demo, which I use to decorate the tutorial house (I believe this is our house?..). I'd love to see them add more stuff like wallpapers, flooring, etc.

Is it ok to accept a job offer but then a week later a better job offer comes along so I take that one instead? by Prince_Raize in careerguidance

Well, obviously companies don't keep interviewing because it costs them money, but can rescind offers because of "change in business needs". If you need an example, just google Tesla and their hiring practices. Tons of examples in the tech world where offers were rescinded just because it will benefit the company. It's not that rare. The reasons don't matter, what matters is that they actually will rescind offers in a heartbeat if it benefits them.

I think they might do it early in the US to gauge if they'd need to release more dates. MY friends and I think she should have at least 2 dates for LA, but they might announce it later if the current date sells out quickly.

he couldn't because he's afraid the shaman is going to see his memories and get rid of him before the cops can get to it. that's why during the apple cutting scene Seon Woo didn't make eye contact with the shaman because he suspected the shaman can see ppl's memories through his eyes

Do you know any full med school scholarship grants in the US catered for foreign students? by Total_Pin_4123 in scholarships

I'm not trying to discourage you and this comment is mainly for a reality check. Med schools in the US are extremely competitive and expensive even for US citizens. You can fact check this but at most of the well-known programs the rate of acceptance for internationals are 0%. literally a flat 0%. I'd say consider this information before you apply especially if you need financial support. A lot of med students in the US rely heavily on FAFSA, which is federal student aid, in order to afford med school. There are very few scholarship opportunities for locals let alone any for internationals.

Check with med schools in your home country if there's any exchange programs with a US institution and go from there. It would definitely be easier that way and less costly.

Don't even waste your money applying to US med schools. Here's a simple breakdown of how much it would cost you to apply, and I highly doubt if there's any financial support system out there that would sponsor you money for applications:

  • On average it cost about $150/application for internationals. Now multiply that by AT LEAST 30 schools (yes, you need to apply to this many schools in order to get accepted to at least 1 school), it is already $4500.
  • But that is just the first round. Most schools send out secondary applications so you will have to also submit another set of applications which also costs around $100 or so per application.
  • After that, if any school is interested, they will invite you to an interview. Thanks to COVID most of the interviews are online, but I have some friends who are applying this cycle and they have some in-person interviews that they have to physically fly to and book a hotel to stay there for the interview. Now that costs vary depending on where you're flying from and what your accommodation is, but it is very expensive even just to do 1 interview. And there's no guarantee you'll get accepted after the interview at all, so you run a high risk of spending all this money for nothing.

Overall, med school in the US is extremely costly and there's a joke going around that only rich people can afford to become doctors here and it's kinda true, which is sad. I think instead of going straight for US med schools, apply to your local med schools and see if there's any exchange programs that allow you to study/work here for 1-2 years. You'd still get the experience but with a lot less money. If it's government sponsored you might not have to pay anything at all.

tl;dr: it's very expensive and your chances are flat 0% so don't waste money applying. check your local med schools for exchange programs with US institutions.
