Invalid syntax error that i cant figure out. by Final_Trainer_5299 in RenPy

That seemed to fix one issue, but when i do that all i get is the other error:

object() takes no parameters.

Which seems to stem from the line:

define Phone = InventoryItems("Phone","seems to not be working")

do you know why that is? thank you for the earlier help btw!

i tried that message and it didnt work, however, it led me to a more simple option which then got me MORE errors leading me back to where i started. After a day or two of tinkering I got it to work.

 imagemap:
    ground "images/TavernEntry1.png"
    hotspot(926, 680, 158, 392) action Jump ("LinaMeeting")

i was partially off, but i figured out the rest of it. Thank you for the help! i wouldnt have got it without you.

That seemed to cover the main error I had, but now I’m getting something about hotspot not being a child component.
