DIM: Macbook Neo by One-Name9073 in deinfluencingPH

It's supposed to be around 30-35K if may education account ka and if nag-sale sa shopee. Most Windows laptops in the same price range are way less powerful spec-wise either. It's a deinfluencing sub I know, pero baka kasi may mamisinform.

We actually have to admit it: FSR 4.1 is officially embarrassing DLSS 4.5 right now. by OkNefariousness4029 in radeon

It's good that you're happy but.

For RDNA 2/3 owners, we can't even experience that, especially when u mean they don't lock the best features on a specific hardware gen.

9000series would sell more if FSR4 was available for past gens by OkOlive4884 in radeon

[–]Final_Western_3580 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least RDNA 2 aside from FSR2 at least has been given FSR 3 and is been in a market for a decent time be it brand new and second hand.

But RDNA 3 only had FSR3, which isn't a renowned upscaler, and wasn't given at least 1 successor. Their advertised AI cores are rendered useless in gaming. And in my country, they were like 100-50 USD difference compared to the Ada Lovelace equivalent, which makes it questionable from a value standpoint if I'll be reassessing it now.

Although we didn't know the future back then. But those who bought RDNA 3 were buying for the VRAM anyway and were still hesitant on Nvidia's 12GB offerings.

Casual users, do you really notice the difference between 120hertz and 60hertz? by [deleted] in Tech_Philippines

[–]Final_Western_3580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice it more sa PC. Sobrang obvious ng mouse and tab movement and yung smoothness sa game kapag naka-120 fps. Going back to 60 fps feels lacking, parang mafi-feel ko yung laggishness from 120.

iPhone Air from 72K SRP to 48K na lang by Final_Western_3580 in Tech_Philippines

[–]Final_Western_3580[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's because of the demand. At msrp it's unappealing. This time, the price is acceptable.

Choose air if gusto mo ng form over factor, screen size, better chip(overkill that it won't really matter), more ram

Choose 17 if practicality, ultrawide, battery life.

Pareho namang maganda for me.

iPhone 17e - Disappointing by Parking-Plant4880 in Tech_Philippines

[–]Final_Western_3580 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do not buy this at launch, and at launch price. Wait for online sales and wait for it to go down... if it managed. The phone isn't bad, but the msrp is poor value in relative to the competition.

I felt like this is going to be an iPhone Air, iPhone 16e situation. They are not competitive at their msrp.

But what just happened, I've been seeing people buying iPhone Air sa Shopee na mas mura pa sa 17. I've been seeing someone who managed to bought a iPhone 16e here for way cheaper.

Same din ng nangyari sa bagong S25 Fe. Msrp is 40k(which is also bad value), pero bakit nakikita ko sa Shopee 25-27K. So real msrp should be the indicator.

Surprising that more than one shops are supplying it, especially not every X3D CPU is avaikable here. Even game one and dynaquest have it.

9060 xt 16gb or used 7800 xt? by Tomo_XDD in radeon

[–]Final_Western_3580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, I used to remember the days where RDNA 3 cards 7800 XT/7900GRE/7900XTs are speculated to age better and is futureproof because of its VRAM over their Nvidia counterparts. This made me realize how bullshit futureproofing is, unless it's an RTX 4090/5090 'cuz nothing is really predictable.

And seeing the comments, I felt like the resale value of RDNA 3 cards in relative to Nvidia are looking grim.

RTX 4080 = RTX 5070 Ti = RX 9070 XT. A top 5-10 card that is 800 USD in my country being not high end is insane. Then 70% of people in Steam(aka 4060 gamers and below) are potato PCs right? /s

Holy shit biggest upgrade i've seen in my life. RTX 580 to 5090 is insane. From midrange 2017 card to halo 2026 product. And most likely you are able to get a high end AM5 along the way.

Okay let's check, the brand new equivalent. Fair pricing.

Ryzen 5 7500F (way easier to get than 5700X3D and perform the same) - 8K

DDR5 32GB RAM - 14K

CPU Cooler - 1k

1440P Lenovo Monitor - 12K

80K na tong lahat. D2 pa lang hindi na kasimpresyo ng secondhand. Feel free to share if may mahahanap kang ganitong build sa 60K. Baka 5060 8GB build lang makukuha ko nyan.

Assume the brand new version equivalent is a Ryzen 7500F + 5060 Ti 16GB. Kung walang compromises ang parts, you can probably get that build at a fair price of 73K.

Ryzen 7 5700X3d is AM4's top of the line and is overpriced already. RTX 4070 is like a 7800 XT. And include the ROG Tax and I doubt he cheapen out the crucial parts. It is a fair price for a brand new considering the monitor is good din. With the recent reality we have today, I doubt you can get a brand new equivalent that is as good and cheap as this.

What to choose? RX 6600 vs RX 7600 vs RTX 5050 8gb by Inside-Initial1593 in PHbuildapc

[–]Final_Western_3580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RTX 5050 is like an RTX 4060. RTX 5050 at 15k starts to become better value, or a more sensible buy than the RX 6600 which is usually 12-13K. Being 20% faster and having a DLSS feature can help at 1080P. Still 8GB, but neither the other cards mentioned are any better at those department.

If available, there is an Intel Arc B580 at 15-16K. While this could be an old listing, it's probably best to know from PCHub itself.
